Blind Cat Wins National Award

Source: KPTM

Maureen Wurtz

OMAHA (KPTM)- He has millions of view on YouTube and just won a national Internet award.

The catch, he has four legs and no eyes.

Oskar the cat may be blind, but that hasn't stopped him from heading straight to the top.

Oskar's ears follow what his eyes can't see. "Everybody wants a perfect animal, it's hard to get more perfect than Oskar," said Mick Szydlowski.

He has an awesome adopted brother cat, a cat who never cared for other cats but is very protective of Oskar. He's become quite the Internet celeb.

with no eyes. He was born without one, and the other decayed as a small kitten from infection, before he was rescued. He is just like any other cat, even smarter I think some times, and the most snuggly kitty I've had in my life. Only problem he has is when he's running around chasing the other cat or just being crazy, he runs into stuff and bumps his head but other than that, he is awesome

I love this little cat. Have followed his page for some time. We need all the stories of hope and compassion that we can get. to Oskar, Klaus, and their people.

Siberians for instance are supposed to have lower levels of allergen in their saliva than other cats. Light colored females supposedly
are the least allergenic. Here is an article that explains this pretty well.

I saw this video of Oskar a while back, and I'm glad he's getting more notice and attention. What a sweetie.

Here's another one with his buddy Klaus. They're both beautiful cats. Their hoomans pick good music for their videos.
