Waffle House CEO (Romney Supporter) accused of sexual improprieties
Source: CNN
(CNN) -- A former personal assistant of Waffle House's CEO accused him of forcing her to "perform sexual services," among other degrading acts, during her nine years of working for him, according to an Atlanta police report. Police blacked out the woman's name in the report, but gave a graphic account of her accusation, based on an interview that she gave Atlanta police on September 28. CNN obtained a copy of the police report Friday, as news of the allegations against Joseph Rogers Jr. spread around the media. Efforts Friday by CNN to reach Rogers, whose father co-founded the Georgia-based 24-hour-diner chain were not successful. Similarly, CNN was unable to reach the man believed to be his lawyer. Atlanta police did not elaborate on to what extent they've been able to verify the woman's claims, with Sgt. Gregory Lyon saying, "I can tell you that this is an open and ongoing investigation." 1. I do believe in innocence until guilt is proven but........
|
These republics run around claiming the moral high ground, to be "God's" chosen party, etc. and then you find out that so many of them, nearly always old white men, are sexual predators. They can't keep their willies in their pants. It is symptomatic of people who outwardly claim sex is bad except to pro-create but then engage in this kind of behavior.

3. I agree that it's symptomatic of repression and unhealthy attitudes toward sex.
|
Anybody who talks a lot about "family values" etc. is revealing that they have a preoccupation with sex, probably brought on by unhealthy upbringing. They're brainwashed into thinking that sex is dirty and bad.

This IS far worse than a consensual affair.

a consensual affair was worse than rape- yes, this is rape. When you make people give you sexual pleasure against their will, it is rape. Calling is sexual assault or harassment is just putting lipstick on a pig.

11. I stopped at a Waffle House
|
once. I left wondering how the hell do they stay in business? It was the worst food and service....and dirty. The customers gave me the evil eye. I got the worst vibe from the place. I ate a few bites and got back on the highway.
I fantasized that the only reason this 'restaurant' remained open was that it was somehow involved in drug and/or human trafficking. Now that I see what the CEO was up to, that damned well may be true. Every time I see a Waffle House, I tell whom ever is in the car....there's a part of the drug cartel! I only visit Perkins Pancake House now. |

I went to a Waffle House once in Richmond VA when I was staying at a hotel kind of far away from where I had to be (for the cheap hotel prices). The Waffle House was the "hotel restaurant" so I went there for breakfast. Gawd awful food and the clientele was about as red-necked as you can be. And because it was VA, there was smoking sections, so that didn't help my enjoyment of the breakfast (had eggs over easy, bacon and hash browns). I didn't know it's possible to make a business case out of greasy-spoon hash houses. Who knew?

We've been to every Waffle House between Tampa and Orlando and there is only one we won't go back to. The rest have good food (and surprisingly fresh salads), nice staff and "colorful" clientele (especially after 10pm). Maybe the quality is a regional thing?

Last edited Sat Nov 10, 2012, 12:21 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) At one local Waffle House, the light in the "W" went out. Stayed that way for months.
Some people loved them, but honestly, the only time I would eat there was if the only other alternative was a place called "Eats" and it was closed for health violations. |
