George P. Bush Makes Campaign Filing In Texas

Source: Associated Press

DALLAS -- George P. Bush, a nephew of former President George W. Bush and son of one-time Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, has made a campaign filing in Texas that is required of candidates planning to run for state office, an official said Thursday night.

The younger Bush, a Fort Worth resident, filed a campaign treasurer appointment Wednesday, a requirement for someone to become a candidate under campaign finance law, Tim Sorrells, general counsel for the Texas Ethics Commission, told The Associated Press.

Sorrells said the report does not specify what office Bush might seek, if any, and he had no other details on the filing, which wasn't available online. Bush did not immediately reply to an email seeking comment, and no phone listing for him could be found.

The 36-year-old said in September his goal was to run for office and acknowledged that he had his eyes on several statewide offices.

And like roaches, they run to hid in the shadows, when exposed to light.

Hopefully this one will do the same.

5. They are going to say he is Hispanic.

If I remember right, his mother is Hispanic. They paraded this little runt around to Latinos in 2004 because he is fluent in Spanish.

He is going to have his hands full with the Castro brothers. Bring it on!!!!

29. Yep...

He's also the co-founder of Hispanic Republicans of Texas, a group that seeks to elect Hispanic candidates.

Ana Navarro, who was the national Hispanic co-chairwoman for John McCain when he ran for president in 2008, tweeted her enthusiasm Thursday.

"Wrote check for my friend, (at)georgepbush newly formed exploratory committee for office in TX. Young, pragmatic, Hispanic, just what GOP needs," Navarro's tweet read.

21. It will be sad

and the DNC needs to help out. Either of the Castro brothers would be great--- but the Bush machine will be in full force. This Bush has probably the best credentials of all the Bushes- (to win in Texas)--- Spanish speaking; Latino; worked with Big Brothers/Big Sisters; I believe was in Afghanistan.......

on the Castro train. But don't put on blinders- this family has tons of money. And this is perhaps their best one yet. We need the Castros (both of them) to be put in the spotlight so that the rest of the state is aware of them. I am still disheartened by how little support Sadler got against nutcase Cruz.

The Obama campaign's strategy of spending time and money early to get the truth out about Mitt was an effective strategy.

We need to follow the model for any GOP candidates who have potential.

Maybe our own Truth PAC.

31. Is this the one who was arrested for having sex in a mall parking lot?

No - he's the one who stalked his ex-girlfriend and broke into her family's home:
George P. Bush might be a hunkalicious young Republican, but he still seems a bit creepy. So TSG wasn't too surprised to learn that "P" was involved ina troubling 1994 incident described in this Metro-Dade Police Department report. On December 31, 1994, Bushs howed up at 4 AM at the Miami home of a former girlfriend. He proceeded to break into the house via the woman's bedroom window, and then began arguing with his ex's father. Bush, then a Rice University student, soon fled the scene. But he returned 20 minutes later to drive his Ford Explorer across the home's front lawn, leaving wide swaths of burned grass in his wake. Young Bush avoided arrest when the victims declined to press charges.

Here is the one who was arrested in Tallahassee in a mall parking lot:
John E. Bush, Jr. - nephew, son of Jeb Bush - Was caught by the police, literally, with his pants down in a parking lot, having sex with a teen-age girl. Arrested for public drunkenness and resisting arrest down in Texas.

33. We Texans have had Hispanic Republican conservatives running for office plenty

of times before. They've been elected on mostly a conservative white voting bloc thanks to gerrymandering. And they've been defeated several times too. The problem is that Hispanics voters don't take to the polls in numbers overwhelming enough to make a difference and the re-districting has played hell in diluting our votes as well. If he's for the cut-taxes-for-the-rich and caters to the extreme right, he won't make it far with Hispanics. And he'll have to appease the tea-baggers, who are crazier than most down here. Saying you're Hispanic, speaking Spanish, and having a purdy face doesn't immediately open doors for you with us. The 1500s are pretty far back, but our memories are still long enough to remember Malinche.
