4. I wonder if Ryan is the next Nixon or Reagan

Humiliated, mocked, and defeated -- but determined to keep running that play until he wins. Something to think about.

14. He lacks

Nixon's intelligence and Reagan's charisma.

Ryan will amount to nothing better than Dan Quayle.

16. I found it strange that he was running for his House seat in addition to VP..

As if he was expected to lose the latter, and just hedged his bets. Isn't it something of an unofficial tradition for the candidates to abdicate their lesser positions when running for the Pres/VP? I may be wrong on this, there are possibly easy examples to the contrary that I am not thinking of at the moment.. (John Kerry running for President, and yet he is still a Senator--perhaps not same election year?)

Not a total loss for him, I suppose, he can still wreck plenty of havoc in that position and keep things mightily hamstrung for the next few years.

Add to that the humiliation Biden heaped on him in their debate...

Yup, lots and lots of "stink" on Paul Ryan now that wasn't the case before...
