Thousands report voting problems
Tuesday, November 6, 2012

Long lines aren’t the only problems voters are facing across the country. Particularly in battleground states, reports of voting problems were flooding into vote-protection groups.

The Election Protection Coalition, comprised of more than 100 local organizations dedicated to protecting the right to vote, reported 53,000 complaint calls by 2 p.m. Eastern time.

Calls to “our hotline are spiking,” said one official with the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights under Law, a lead organization in the coalition, ate 2p.m.

Many of the problems were coming from battleground states, including recurrent voting machine breakdowns and malfunctions in traditionally Democratic areas of Ohio including Cleveland, Dayton and Toledo.

1. "It's a disgrace, really."

Former Marine Pedro Wasserman told us: "It was much easier voting in such locations as Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia, Germany and Spain than it was to vote in South Florida this year. It's a disgrace, really."

3. What an odd coincidence that our voting problems are mostly in "battleground" states

and since I don't really believe in coincidences, it leads me to believe there
is another explanation; i.e. that entrenched GOP officials and operatives are
trying to steal another election, like they did in 2000 and 2004.

I mean, sweet Jesus, if we MUST have this ridiculous Electoral Collage system,
where essentially 4-5 states (and not the entire nation) get to decide who
our next President is, can't we at least insure that THOSE states have FAIR
AND CLEAN ELECTIONS!!!!

Is that too much to ask? I think not.

9. Not just "battleground states" but traditionally Democratic AREAS............

of battleground states. Naw, that's not suspicious at ALL!

Yet I'm STILL reading some people on HERE saying that it's just one machine, it's a hoax, can't blame cheating for losing if you can't prove it, etc. All sorts of excuses TO EXCUSE REPUBLICAN ELECTORAL FRAUD! Now why would anybody faced with this kind of evidence, even if it's anecdotal, it's widespread, still want to denigrate people who worry about election fraud?

And a better question might be, why does the Democratic heirarchy not care about this electoral fraud?

7. I'd be shocked if anything at all

happens, beyond "superficial" investigations into the matter for public consumption.

8. If you want to wake Holder, you have to tell him that a cancer patient is smoking pot

Nothing else ever gets his attention.

5. Maybe this time around it will finally become important for the US to examine how we vote!

We just have to stop this madness. Its time to figure out a national fail safe solution.

K&R, not because I particularly like what's happening but for more exposure...

11. Friend of mine was manning a voter-problems hotline yesterday...

Mostly dealing with Pennsylvania and, I think, New York. He said the calls were absolutely nonstop the entire time, and that every one of them that he received involved Republican-leaning pressure or intimidation.

12. Something needs to be done...now!

I'm just so concerned that the ball will be dropped now that the election is over.
