Romney Camp Connects Obama To Chavez, Castro, Che In Florida Ad
Source: TPM
The Romney campaign is blanketing Spanish-language media in Florida with a new ad connecting President Obama with Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, the Castro family in Cuba, and Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara, the Miami Herald reports. The Herald reports the ad has been in heavy rotation since at least Tuesday, citing anecdotal evidence: "(T)he spot that aired three times in one prime time Spanish-language news program Tuesday and at least four times on the same show Wednesday -- including twice in the same commercial break." The ad shows Chavez and Mariela Castro, the niece of Fidel Castro, saying they would vote for Obama if they were Americans. The ad then notes that the EPA sent out a Hispanic Heritage month email with a picture of Che Guevara on it. The ad ends with Chavez saying: "If Obama were from Barlovento (a Venezuelan town), he'd vote for Chávez." -snip- Read more: http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/romney-camp-connects-obama-to-chavez-castro-che Another sign of desperation from the Romney campaign. There's video of the ad at the link. The Romney campaign wouldn't give the Herald a copy of the ad, so they had to record it with an iPhone.

3. I've never seen a campaign with less respect for the intelligence of the average voter
|
The scary part is they've come very close to getting away with it. I think Obama wins, but he is a superb candidate with an awesome campaign machine, and this is the last time we'll be able to bank on that particular combination.

5. well

we will have 2016's democratic picks. Dr. Warren, FLOTUS, I know, I know but I can have my fantasies. H. Clinton will be seasoned, intelligent and have billy in her corner and the lessons if not the machine of Obama.? With the self destruction the rethug/tea party is going through, we'll have a chance next two cycles, I think?

9. It's scary as hell how close rMoney came with his lies,flip-flops, and big money
|
I've thought about that often. rMoney is a horrible candidate, yet his big money has gotten him dangerously close to the White House.

Last edited Thu Nov 1, 2012, 11:01 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) there is nothing they can do except to steal the election now. Doesn't matter how many millions they throw at this weekend, their message will be falling on deaf ears--or only those ears that needs to survive on their lies. This immense hurricane and the aftermath have destroyed any foundation upon which they could build.
The only thing left to them is to outright steal the election and that could still happen, despite Obama's widening gap forward. Remember: Ohio was hit and they've got a thug who just tried to disenfranchise most of the democratically voting population. The fact that there is no electricity in much of the northeast is serious. You can best believe that if they can use the argument of "is your house still there? No? Then you have no legal residence", they'll use it. They might not succeed in the end, but in the moment, they very well may. |

10. In Virginia, another example of a rogue ad...
|
Romney is running an advertisement regarding the recent closing of a BBQ "landmark" restaurant called "Bill's Barbecue" in Richmond...needless-to-say, it reeks of desperation. Everyone in the Richmond area knows Bill's has struggled for many, many years. Great BBQ joint, but woefully outdated...it's basically been on "life support" for a decade now...no one is shocked.
So here's the choice for Central Virginia...Obama's new ad with Colin Powell's endorsement, or Romney telling an outright lie that everyone from the area knows is patently dishonest...seems to sum this elections season up in a nutshell to me...for Romney, this ad will do more harm than good...trust me. http://www2.timesdispatch.com/news/2012/nov/01/5/romney-ad-links-death-bills-barbecue-chain-obama-ar-2328972/ |

17. Cuba is open. It is the USA that is closed.
|
Why do so many Americans have it so backward?
There's only one nation that does not have relations with Cuba. There's only one nation that has a travel ban on it's citizens from going to Cuba. Do I need to tell you which one? |

A schizophrenic mental patient in fugue state says "Every patient in this asylum would vote for Obama" and" If Obama were in a straight jacket here, he's vote for me!"
