Bill Clinton campaigns for Obama in Council Bluffs
Source: Omaha World Herald
By Joseph Morton COUNCIL BLUFFS -- President Bill Clinton stormed through Iowa on Wednesday for a series of home-stretch pep talks, urging supporters to work harder than ever to send Barack Obama back to the White House. “Obama's economic plan is better, his budget plan is better, his education plan is better, his health care plan is better, his plan to bring America together is better,” Clinton said to a cheering crowd of 600 at the Mid-America Center. “That is worth standing up for. That is Iowa's future.” The Bluffs was the first of three stops on the day for Clinton, who continued on to Mason City and Waterloo. Iowa is among a handful of remaining swing states that will be crucial in determining whether the country gives Obama four more years or elects Republican nominee Mitt Romney. During a 35-minute address, Clinton sought to re-ignite the 2008 excitement that propelled then-Sen. Obama to an Iowa caucus victory over Hillary Clinton and turned the state blue in the general election. FULL story at link. i have been to council bluffs before and there are good people there but why is President Clinton wasting his time in council bluffs????
That is a very small town. Why doesn't he go to Des Moines or Ames where there are more people. I hate to even ask, but are they getting deparate for votes that they have to go to council bluffs???? |
