GM calls latest Romney auto ad 'politics at its cynical worst'
Source: Detroit Free Press
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has broadened his attack on President Barack Obama’s auto industry restructuring, implying that General Motors used the aid to hire more workers in China than in the U.S. “Barack Obama says he saved the auto industry. But for who? Ohio or China?” says the narrator in a radio spot running in Ohio. “Under President Obama, GM cut 15,000 American jobs, but they are planning to double the number of cars built in China, which means 15,000 more jobs for China. And now comes word that Chrysler plans to start making Jeeps in, you guessed it, China.” GM quickly defended its performance. “We've clearly entered some parallel universe during these last few days,” GM spokesman Greg Martin said. “No amount of campaign politics at its cynical worst will diminish our record of creating jobs in the U.S. and repatriating profits back to this country.” Read more: http://www.freep.com/article/20121030/BUSINESS01/121030036/1205/business01/Romney-implies-GM-used-U-S-aid-create-jobs-China

6. Plutocrats HATE having heavy industry in the US
|
It empowers those he seeks to force into indentured servitude. Paper pushing jerkoffs like that have no love for brick & mortar businesses stateside.
It's a gamble: He's betting he can stitch together enough plutocrats with racist or religious nutjobs to squeak by. Could be he thinks the hurricane smashing the northeast's infrastructure may quell a good deal of voters normally known to vote liberal/democratic. He'll fail, but he wants to go down swinging. |

As Willard has proven time and time again, he will sell his soul to become president....He will forget his moral and religious faith to become president...He will put "47%" of the population into poverty and raise the number of poor people, while enriching the wealth even more...
Willard jumped into bed with the fanatics of the republican party...and even though he thinks he is a moderate, they will never allow him to act like a moderate...and his constant lien and false information in order to keep these fanatics on his side and to win at all costs, will only prove to be his down fall, or as Joe Wilson said ' This will be his Water-lou".... Once a lier, always a lier.. |

Last edited Wed Oct 31, 2012, 01:37 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) How sad when we've so privatized our news outlets that they need to boost such a Big Lie. To pretend that all Mitt's lies don't matter-- people are still so hot for the guy. Promoting that lie as news keeps the billions of ad dollars flowing.
Privatization strips everything of its heart. News is not news but information product. I do hope more of Mitt's madness breaks through the polite pretending that he is at all appealing. |

Pretty ballsy of him to make that kind of statement after bragging to his rich supporters about how great it was at that factory in China he planned to buy that was essentially slave labor.
