Poll: Presidential Race Tied Up In Florida, Obama Up Big Among Early Voters
Source: TPM
President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney are completely tied in Florida, according to the latest automated poll from SurveyUSA.
The poll shows Obama and Romney each earning the support of 47 percent of likely Sunshine State voters, while the president claims commanding leads among early voters.
Fifty-seven percent of Florida voters who said they have already cast a ballot did so for the president, compared with 42 percent who indicated they have already voted for Romney. Obama also leads by 10 among those who intend to vote early, while Romney holds a 13-point lead among voters who plan to wait for Election Day.

And since this is an automated poll and doesn't call cell phones unless given specific permission

it's almost certainly undercounting Obama supporters.

(14,337 posts)back to Florida. I BETTER be able to fly out by then!!!! I HAVE to be able to cast my ballot on Election Day. Never sent in my absentee ballot because I was too worried about voting that way.

(2,800 posts)Correct me if I'm wrong, but if FL goes blue, Romnesia is screwed, even if he manages to steal Ohio, he's toast.

(8,377 posts)If we take Florida, then Romney could win all the following states and still have only 266:
NC, VA, CO, OH, WI, NH, IA.
He has absolutely no chance without Florida.

(8,377 posts)If the voters were divided 25/25/50 for already voted / planning to early vote / plan to vote on Tuesday then Romney would win by 0.5%.

(4,856 posts)Another BS misleading headline. Obama leads by a substantial margin among early voters. Where are the Repubes gonna make up the difference? On election day? I think not. Headline should read Obama has a commanding lead. I'm fed up with the "close race" BS from the MSM. It's a lie and always has been.

(18,998 posts)But I question the poll too....just did a search for this polling company...it operates out of a strip office building in NJ...and probably a one man operation....but we give it credence?
