Romney calls economic growth report discouraging

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney says a new report on the nation’s economic growth is “discouraging.”

The Commerce Department reported Friday that the U.S. economy expanded at a slightly faster 2 percent annual rate from July through September. But Romney suggested that pickup wasn’t sufficient to create enough jobs and improve take-home pay. He argued he would do better.

The report comes as the GOP nominee prepared to deliver an economic speech in the swing state of Iowa.

Romney is focusing on the public’s economic concerns heading into the final days of the campaign as polls suggest Americans say they trust him more than President Barack Obama to handle the issue.

4. 2% is BETTER than analysts predicted! This number is BAD news for Rmoney, great news for America

and Barack Obama....

Which means of course that the MSM will now pivot and re-focus like a laser on..... Libya.

10. Discouraging because

good economic news is not good for his premise that Obama is not fixing the economy

11. Repugs love bad news

Romney's such a transparent phony. We're so much better off now than we were four years ago. These ridiculous talking points are just a way for Mittens to avoid talking about his insidious agenda:

13. Why does Romney hate America???

Yes, I know his super mysterious 58 point plan to save our economy is his answer.... We just don't get to know HOW until he gets elected.

15. If it had been 3% Republicans would have accused Obama of cooking the books.

If it stays the same or goes down Republicans criticize.
If it goes up a little Republicans criticize it didn't go up enough.
If it goes up Republicans say Obama is cooking the books.

So - whatever the number is, they put a negative spin on it.

22. Tell me if I'm wrong but take home pay is decided by

CEOs and not the President. If corporate CEOs weren't so greedy they would ensure that workers had a decent salary. Instead they try to give as little as possible and want to give even less by destroying unions. WTF

23. How many presidential candidates does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Two. One to actually screw it in, and another one to give a speech about how he could have done it better.

24. If this jackass is elected (unlikely)

the part that will rankle me the most is that my President has done all the heavy lifting, suffered all the slings and arrows, and Romney will be credited with the glory when the recovery fully sets in. Assuming he doesn't fuck it up, which is a big assumption.
