Updated: Walker calls for temporary replacement for WEDC leader

Update 11:30 a.m.: Gov. Scott Walker says he wants to hire a temporary leader for the state's troubled economic development agency.

Walker said at a meeting of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. board on Friday that he wants to bring in someone from outside the agency to lead it for the next two to three months. The current head of WEDC, Paul Jadin, is leaving at the end of the month and a search is under way for a successor.

Walker also announced that WEDC's chief financial officer Mike Klosinski resigned on Thursday. Klosinski took that position when Walker aide Ryan Murray became WEDC's second in command this summer.
