Right hits Crowley for correcting Romney on Obama's 'acts of terror' remark
By Alicia M. Cohn - 10/16/12 09:58 PM ET

Debate moderator Candy Crowley courted controversy on Tuesday late in the second presidential debate after she corrected Mitt Romney's assertion that the president did not call the attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya "an act of terror" until 14 days after the incident.

The phrase "Go Candy" began trending nationwide on Twitter, as did the hashtag #getthetranscript -- President Obama's response when denying Romney's claim.

The Republican had seized on Obama's statement during the debate that, on the day following the Sept. 11 attack, he had described the assault on the consulate as an act of terror.

Obama insisted he had indeed made the statement, and Crowley sided with the president.

after the invasion. We didn't. The whole WMDs in Iraq was a lie. The United Nations inspection team in Iraq made that clear to the UN shortly before we invaded.

See the April 2004 edition of Vanity Fair. I will never forget the article. I read the details of the report of the United Nations inspection team to the UN prior to our invasion numerous times. The lying by the Bush administration was brazen.

And now the Republicans and Fox News are trying to foist another brazen lie on us.

Did the Obama administration walk back from their first assertion that the attack on Benghazi was a terrorist attack? Maybe a bit. They insisted that they needed to investigate. And that is understandable because if you watch the video, there appears to have been both a demonstration and an armed attack from a truck at the consulate in Benghazi.

Also, we had people in Libya who needed to be gotten out from the country in the days and hours following the attack. I can't believe that the media and Republicans have paid so little attention to the details of the reports in the days and weeks following that attack. It appears to be intentional ignorance. Just another Fox News ploy.

The Far Reich has tried to make the Benghazi attack into a major crisis for this administration......

So what's my point?- just this-

Remember 911?

The Far Reich took 911 and made Bush into a HERO! Instead of a crisis for Bush they put him on a throne! Talk about double standards.

Everything is win-win for them because of the way they spin it....

...and everything is lose-lose for the Dems because the right wing media spins everything negatively that has anything to do with Democrats.

The pundits think they are so clever...and laugh all the way to the bank because they do not care about America, only lining their pockets....

.... and what bothers me most are so many people are falling for it.

This is the guy, that made the decision., to go into Pakistan and get Ben Ladin. Romney and the GOP has underestimated the President. They thought that they were just going to bully the President. The President looked pretty strong with that encounter on Libya. Romney just hung himself. It had to be humiliating for him. President Obama's closing had to be humiliating for him also. Romney's expression showed it all at the end of the Debate. Ann Romney didn't look too happy either. The President actually made Romney look smaller in stature. I don't know if he can take it?
