John Kerry: ‘Mitt Romney Is Perpetrating A Fraud On The American People’
Source: tpm
On MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) said Mitt Romney's tax reform plan -- at least its promise of revenue neutrality -- is one big fraud. "Mitt Romney is perpetrating a fraud on the American people," he said. Referring to Romney's $5 trillion plan, Kerry said, "If you gave him all the deductions that there are ... you've got $2.5 trillion. He doesn't want all the deductions. And he's trying to fake it to the American people." "You have a man running for the presidency of the United States of AMerica on the central issue of our time and he's not being straight with the American people. I find it stunning --it's to me disqualifying." Read more: http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/john-kerry-mitt-romney-is-perpetrating-fraud-on

2. I don't understand
|
how this is not a deal breaker for every person in the country.
The media should be EVISCERATING him for it. They meekly address it from time time, but not like they should. And, why would ANYONE vote for someone who bald faced lies over something like this? I just don't get it. |

i know it's ignorance, willful and otherwise. i believe there's a huge dose of racism that plays into it whether acknowledged or not. i know it's a damned shame of a media in this country. but STILL. how can anyone think this supercilious, incessantly mendacious, warmongering elitist is the better candidate?! i just don't get it either.

this is in large part due to racism and I had thought by now that we had out grown it.
But we have not reached that point but I hope one day that we will as nation do so... |

that is the only reason i can think of, but to be clear if the media has been really doing their job, there is no way Mitt Romney will be standing on that stage with Obama. No way.
America has a gangsta running for the presidency. |

He said it , and he was clearly and seriously annoyed too which made it even better. But the best part was that it shut up and shut down Joe Scarborough who spent the entire morning trying to spin one line from a snap poll.

19. Mitt's whole plan is to appeal to people's greed with that 20% cut....
|
There are a lot of people who don't have a mortgage or a student in school so taking away those deductions don't affect them and they believe they'll get a 20% raise. What these idiots don't get is that it's not 20% of your pay, it's 20% of the PERCENT.
