Voter fraud billboards cause controversy
Source: cbs 58 news
MILWAUKEE --- Community groups spoke out Monday against new billboards which state, "Voter fraud is a felony." Leaders from Citizen Action of Wisconsin, the Insitutute for One Wisconsin, and other groups said that the billboards are aimed at confusing voters in low income neighborhoods, and they want Clear Channel Outdoor advertising to take the billboards down. It is unclear who paid for the billboards. The billboards state, "Paid for by a private family foundation." "Hiding behind the anonymity just provides aid and comfort to the racists who are behind this voter suppression scheme," said Scot Ross of the Institute of One Wisconsin. A Clear Channel Outdoor spokesman sent CBS 58 News an email Tuesday which said in part: "The contract in Milwaukee was for 85 locations in the area – and not all are in African American or Hispanic areas. Clear Channel Outdoor doesn't comment on our advertisers campaigns so we have no comment on these ads or the motives behind them. The advertiser put into their contract to remain anonymous. SINCE those who stole the Kerry/*ush and Gore/*ush elections gave us the war in Iraq and nearly toppled us into a depression and screwed up our credibility world wide, I'd say it's pretty much a hanging offense....
But since you are a kind and generous liberal at heart, I hear your words and see the error of my ways. Mercy should be shown so they have time to make peace with their maker before getting face to face and having to explain their rotten selves to Him. |

9. To me it sounds like it's directed at right-wingers who vote more than once, disenfranchise dems, &
|
try to use redistricting as a tool to keep dems from winning. It can only scare you if you're doing something wrong. The majority of Americans follow the law. And people who are caught cheating should be locked up. One person, one vote. Get rid of the electoral college and let our one vote really count. Who needs them anyway anymore???

10. RWers are trying to keep convicted felons from voting
|
Even though "released" convicts do have the right to vote. Poorly informed convicts might think they can get arrested for voting.
It's cruel. It's Republican! |

In AA neighborhoods. Saw the TV article last night (10/15 on local NBC station). The guy who was "the man in the street" responder said he was more bothered by the Sec Of States' attempt at voter suppression more, so it was a two-fer for one shout out. Very well crafted effort at voter supression.....call it like it I see it.
