Mitt Romney 'View' Appearance: Republican Presidential Candidate Cancels On ABC Talk Show
Source: Huffington Post
Mitt Romney 'View' Appearance: Republican Presidential Candidate Cancels On ABC Talk Show ........................ Through a campaign spokesperson, Romney announced that he would visit the program in October after devastating comments made during a fundraising event were released through a secretly recorded video. Romney called the ABC talk show "high-risk" and said that co-host Whoopi Goldberg had a particularly sharp tongue. While his comments about the roughly 47 percent of Americans who do not pay taxes made headlines, his remarks about the ABC daytime talk show raised some eyebrows as well. Walters addressed his Thursday cancellation at the top of Monday's show. She said: Gov. Romney was supposed to be on with us this Thursday with Ann Romney. We were looking forward to it. Over the weekend, his people said that he had scheduling problems and would not be coming on with us. Nor at this point did he feel that he could reschedule. We are happy to have Mrs. Romney on with us. We are sorry that we won't have Governor Romney and that's the situation...He can change his mind and we hope he does. It would be our pleasure to have him on the program. Read more: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/15/mitt-romney-view-appearan_n_1967123.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000003

Romney campaign thinks it has momentum and they are going to go and blow their chances by going into a scene in which they do not have total control.

What a coward - but then again Woppi Goldberg can be a rather snappy one who sometimes tend to tell the truth - even if it hurts. And I also suspect that he would have had trouble getting away from Ms Goldberg, she is a interesting woman to say at least - and intelligent.. Diclotican |

|
they'll probably call her a bully anyway, so maybe she should pre-empt that with an observation/question about what the probabilities are that she'll be called a bully no matter how she acts around Queen Anne.

|
McCain's campaign didn't go into the toilet because he bailed on Letterman; it went into the toilet because he bailed on Letterman but still made time for an interview with someone else just a few blocks away.
I'd like to see what event would be so important that Romney simply has to forego a national audience. |
