Recently, tucked in a few longer articles about endorsements in the Massachusetts Senate race between Scott Brown (R) and Elizabeth Warren (D) was the news that the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Union, Local 6, had staged a protest outside a Brown press conference to set the record straight regarding a misleading attack ad Brown ran against Warren. Via the Boston Globe
…asbestos union workers stood outside Brown’s press conference and said they were irate over Brown’s latest television advertisement that attacks Warren for representing Travelers Insurance as part of a lawsuit related to asbestos poisoning. The event was coordinated by Democrats, who are backed strongly by the unions.
The new Brown ad quotes Warren saying, “I’ve been out there working for people who have been injured by big corporations.”
A narrator then says: “Warren helped Travelers Insurance restrict payments to victims of asbestos poisoning. The results were disastrous for victims. The insurance company saved millions, and Elizabeth Warren got paid 40 times what they paid victims. Elizabeth Warren is just not who she says she is.”

3. I hate him more than you do...
Just kidding. Plenty to hate there, I tell ya.
I am convinced that Rove (or one of his surrogates) took charge of
this dickhead's campaign when he started to lose ground.
Classic Rovian tactics:
Attack your opponents strengths any way you can, especially with lies.
Accuse your opponent of deplorable behaviors, especially those YOU are guilty of. LIE
Get surrogates to "swiftboat" your opponent. LIE
Make all attacks personal in some way, don't focus on real issues. SMEAR
Make lots of false accusations which your opponent has to deny (Rove learned this one from LBJ)
Likability -- Brown accused her of "being negative and personal" in her campaign. WTF?!
Sincerity -- Brown's constant BS about her "dishonesty about her native american genealogy." A-hole!
Populism -- this ad attacks HER as being a corporatist. What a total piece of shit!
Ad quote: "Elizabeth Warren is not who she says she is" is classic projection by Brown --
HE IS NOT WHO HE SAYS HE IS, when he repeats how much of an "independent" he is.
NOt so when he vowed to "stop Obama" when he went to Washington. HE IS A REPUBLICAN.
She is the one who is genuine, without guile.
Intelligence -- Brown always refers to Warren as "professor... from Harvard" in transparently derisive way.
It should be easy to see who is pretending and who is genuine.
With each passing day, he gets more insufferable with his ugly brand of Rovian politics.
So sayeth The King
p.s. please donate to Warren's campaign. Another six years of him is unthinkable.
Mundane Noodle !
