16. I think they are puposly shifting the numbers to "tie" just to keep the "win" down.
|
It's like when we keep hearing poll numbers for Obama at 50% and Romney at 38%. We're supposed to believe the remaining 12% is in the air. I don't buy it. I believe all it takes is for a few Liberals to say they aren't completely happy with Obama and BOOM! They jump on that to lower his total. It's not like those people will either stay home or vote for Romney.

5. Biden simply kicked Ryan's ass-handed it to him-kicked Ryan's ass again-now git outta here lyin Ryan
|
And tell habitual liar Romney the same thing....BUT>>>>>
Tomorrow Romney spin in front of a crowd and cameras will hold up Ryan's hand like a champion and pretend Ryan won the debate. LOL! What a complete joke and lie - not even subjective nor semantics here..... Clearly to ANY honest intelligent thinking person Vice President Biden absolutely no doubt won the debate throughly & completely. |

22. How the Hype Became Bigger Than the Presidential Election
|
New rule; no poll numbers allowed.....
The campaign should start and finish in six weeks, and there should be free TV access to both candidates. And it should be illegal to publish poll numbers. This isn't as crazy as it sounds – they actually had such a law in Russia while I lived there, and people were much happier. (Well, they were still miserable, because they were Russian, but at least they weren't stressing about poll numbers.) Think about it: Banning poll numbers would force the media to actually cover the issues. As it stands now, the horse race is the entire story – I can think of a couple of cable networks that would have to go completely dark tomorrow, as in Dan-Rather- Dead-Fucking-Air dark, if they had to come up with even 10 seconds of news content that wasn't centered on who was winning. That's the dirtiest secret we in the media have kept from you over the years: Most of us suck so badly at our jobs, and are so uninterested in delving into any polysyllabic subject, that we would literally have to put down our shovels and go home if we didn't have poll numbers we can use to terrify our audiences. Can you imagine if your favorite news network had to do stories like, "What is the Overseas Private Investment Corporation up to, and what do each of the candidates think about it?" That would be like asking Nineties-era baseball players to take the field without popping greenies – what, you mean play the game sober? Half the on-air talent would have to resign, or do ad work hawking reverse mortgages. 24. Both candidates? How would you know which two without poll?
|
Don't get me wrong I agree with you, especially on the 6 week part. But it should be free air time to any candidate with a party affiliation.
There are much better choices than what the two major parties throw at us every four years. With some air time and no access to debates we could really have some choices. I feel the major parties are a big part of the problems we have today. And run off elections within one week of the general election. |

28. "Undies" - great term. These "lo-info" voters have a problems with cause and effect:

That is simply, they don't get it, don't understand it as a fact of life, and are therefore open to manipulation by those who control the political economy.

Not even close. It seems like the msm got together to play down Biden's outstanding performance last night.
The first early morning report from CNN and CBS gave the debate to Ryan, but I see that CBS is moderating that a little and now giving Biden "an edge." I guess CBS doesn't want to lose credibility all together. |

35. Uncommitted voters
|
What a load of crap!
If you're uncommitted, then you haven't been paying attention. What is it you want to hear that you haven't already heard? The only excuse for being uncommitted is being in a coma. Heck, people in comas are probably more committed than these undecided voters. You'd have to be in a persistent vegetative state to be uncommitted at this point. My message to the uncommitted voter: Grow the fuck up. As for the independents, that might have been okay 10, 20, or 30 years ago. Not any more. Too much is at stake. My guess? Independent voters are actually Republicans too ashamed to identify themselves as such but so intellectually stunted that they can't make the switch to vote D. It's pathetic when you read about the so-called independent voter or the ever-dwindling mainstream Republican talk about what they would like to see in their R candidates. What they are looking for is the platform of the Dems, but they lack the integrity to acknowledge that. |

36. They like the Dems, but...
|
But they think that the Dems are the party for minorities. It's a party that wants to take away freedom away from average white people by taking away what little privileges average white people have left. Freedom is a zero-sum resource, and if others have, one's own freedom is diminished.
