Obama: Romney Now ‘Severely Kidding’ About Past Positions
Source: Talking Points Memo
Obama: Romney Now ‘Severely Kidding’ About Past Positions In a notably sharper stump speech on Thursday, President Obama attacked Mitt Romney for his shifting positions on taxes, health care and education by using the Republican's own descriptor as "severely conservative." "He's trying to go through an extreme makeover. After running for more than a year in which he called himself severely conservative, Mitt Romney's trying to convince you that he was severely kidding," said Obama at a campaign event in Florida. "Look. What he was selling was not working. Because people understood his ideas wouldn't help the middle class so these days Mitt Romney's for whatever you're for." Obama continued: Suddenly he loves the middle class. Can't stop talking enough about them. He loves Medicare. Loves teachers. He even loves the most important parts of Obamacare. What happened? Now, what does he have to say this new version of Mitt Romney about all the things he's actually promised to do as president? Tax breaks for outsourcers? Never heard of such a thing. Saying we should cut back on teachers? Doesn't ring a bell. 3. This is funny, but 'just kidding' is a standard response from bullies when they are called . .

on their crap. So it is also very apt. Maybe the Prez is playing off the way Mitt tries to make light of all of his huge faults.

6. This is really good imo. It plays into the flip flopping and Romney's primary suck up tour.

9. Ask a die hard Repug, which Rmoney will you get if he is elected?
|
Will it be the guy who signed the assault weapons ban (Obama's only 2 gun bills allowed guns in National parks and on Amtrak)? Will it be the guy who promised to repeal Obama Care on day 1, or the guy who invented it? Just follow Obama's speech and watch the hilarity ensue!

... As a "test balloon" for these speeches because alot of stuff in POTUS's stump speech has been said by the Big Dog over the past couple weeks, then it starts to show up - almost word for word - in POTUS's.

.....what about those income tax filings that we are still waiting to see? I sure hope that topic finds itself into the next presidential debate. Perhaps someone in the "town hall" is as curious as I.

NEVER give this pack of jackals a MILLIMETER! THEY'LL TAKE THREE MILES IF YOU DO.
NEVER assume these people play fair or deal honestly. BECAUSE THEY DON'T. NEVER assume they'll even consider your point of view, much less convert over to it. BECAUSE THEY WON'T. NEVER expect them to help, or do the truly correct thing. JUST KNOW THEY THINK YOU'RE THE DEVIL. And they recognize and accept NO obligation even to deal with you. They want to grind you into dust and take everything away that you've built, and nullify everything you gained. They don't even think you have the right to be sucking air off THEIR planet. So that's how they should be dealt with. That's ABSOLUTELY how they should be regarded, and treated. These people are NO GOOD. They're liars, cheaters, backstabbers, and thieves, and the only way they talk is with forked tongues. I think Obama forgot that, at least during the last debate. Seems he forgot about the way he's been treated by these people from the get-go. I think a little - NO. A LOT of payback is in order. They've certainly earned it. We need to get it through all our collective liberal Democratic heads. These are NOT nice people. They may look like it, but the bodysnatchers in the horror movies certainly made good use of their convincing camouflage. They don't want what we want. They don't share our views or our beliefs. And they only want us to cease to exist, so they can have the world their way. And they won't EVER be won over because they think they have God on their side. I think we should give up trying to deal with 'em or even work with 'em. Don't even bother - it's a waste of time. Just give them the back of our hands and the heels of our boots. Don't EVER assume the best from these people. They will only give us shit. So I say we return the favor. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE TIME. |

I'm glad he's getting tough! I think he learned from his debate miscalculation. He's too smart not to! Now we must all stay tough with him and arm ourselves with facts and information to fight this battle. There are many excellent sources on the web to keep us informed. There is a really good new one that needs our support. If you're on FB go to Mitticisms or search it in Cafepress and Zazzle. You can get some great gear there for the next debate and to inform and poke a little at your republican colleagues!

17. Time to take off the gloves and give Romey's lying face a pummeling
|
Metaphorically speaking, of course. Americans love a good fight -- that's the only reason IMO that Romney got favorable reviews from his last debate -- certainly not from his command of "the facts". If Obama wades into the ring in the next debate and lands some heavy (metaphorical) blows on Romney, gets Romney clinging to the ropes with his knees shaking, then we'll know that Obama "won". Looks like he's warming up to the fight, which is great to see.

Man. Barack is so natural. I cannot believe he's not up by 80% in this election. Of course, that may have been a plant, but none-the-less, his campaign is so positive and uplifting, that it's awesome! GOOOO OBAMA!!!
