Former Scott Brown Campaign Staffer Working For Shadowy Super PAC Attacking Elizabeth Warren
Source: BoldProgressives.org
This past January, Massachusetts Senate candidate Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren made a historic pact to call on third-party groups — like Super PACs — not to air television, web, or radio ads in their race. But a mysterious new campaign organization may be violating the spirit of this agreement and is casting a light on the ultra-thin walls between Super PACs and candidate campaigns. This week, a new Super PAC calling itself America 360 began spending money in the Massachusetts race to boost Brown and attack Warren. It released a very poorly-produced web video warning that “outside groups” were supporting Warren, amusingly listing web boards like Democratic Underground as these independent entities. -snip- One thing that we do know about America 360 is the identity of its spokeswoman, Alicia Preston. Preston is a public relations flack at “The Preston Group,” which does “strategic communications” for corporations and political candidates. Here’s the most interesting part about Alicia Preston: she’s a former Brown campaign staffer, as she describes on her firm’s website. -snip- Read more: http://boldprogressives.org/former-scott-brown-campaign-staffer-involved-with-mysterious-super-pac-attacking-elizabeth-warren/ Emphasis added, since I think DUers might find that sentence particularly interesting. I agree with the article that having a former Brown staffer as the Super PAC's spokeswoman is "suspicious, to say the least," given the pact that Brown and Warren signed earlier.

2. Link to the video with a nod to DU. Do NOT watch all the way through.

If you watch all the way through, it will build up the view count.
Also, feel free to vote it thumbs-down. Link: |

4. just one of the Big Problems with Cit. United is there's no way to tell communications are

ongoing between campaign staffers and Super PACs. They're supposed to stay separate but it's absurd. It's possible this Brown staffer deliberately left Brown's staff to form the PAC and has marching orders from Brown himself. How would anyone know unless someone blows the whistle? This part of Cit. United is totally unenforceable.
