Attorney: "100% sure" he'll call Walker as witness

Source: WKOW.com (Madison)

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A subpoena for Governor Scott Walker's testimony in an upcoming criminal trial of one of his former aides has been submitted to a Milwaukee County court.

Clerk Gina Barron for Judge David Hanscher tells 27 News the subpoena was submitted to the court Friday.

Barron says the subpoena documents show the subpoena was served on Walker's attorney, Michael Steinle.

Steinle has yet to return a call from 27 News seeking comment.

Walker was previously identified by a prosecutor as a potential witness in the October 15 trial of Kelly Rindfleisch in Hanscher's court.

1. I Hope

I really hope Scotty Boy is arrogant enough to refuse the subpoena. It might piss off enough moderates in Wisconsin to tip the state further in favor of President Obama and Tammy Baldwin in the November election.

3. He would come out looking awful.

There's so much hard evidence of corruption, the defendants (stealing from Veteran's charities for Caribbean vacations?) have already kicked in with token defense. Walker would be standing pretty much by himself. (Well, just him and the Noise Machine. It might start to sound pretty hollow after a while.)

By the way, welcome to DU.

2. I didn't know that Rindfleisch exchanged dozens of emails for the now medicaid director...

"Authorities say Rindfleisch exchanged dozens of emails with others on behalf of the campaign of lieutenant governor candidate Brett Davis, who is now state medicaid director under Walker."

4. I just want to say that Gov. Walker is a big tushy-head.

I HATE his hair. I think it reveals the vapid emptiness of his "soul".

When he's alone in his office, I'm pretty sure he downs a booger or two.

5. Don't you guys know that Republicans are above the law?

Look how many times Rove ignored subpoenas.

Anything happen to him?

Nope.

And he was just an adviser
