DCCC Cancels Three Weeks of Buys in Seats It Feels Are Safe
Source: Roll Call
House Democrats have canceled advertisement buys in three House races where the party’s nominee is on a clear path to victory.
...snip... In Arizona’s 2nd district, the DCCC canceled $85,000 worth of Tucson broadcast television. Rep. Ron Barber (D) faces retired Air Force Col. Martha McSally (R) in this district, which Roll Call rates as Likely Democratic. In New Mexico’s 1st district, the DCCC canceled $135,000 worth of Albuquerque broadcast television. Bernalillo County Commissioner Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) and former state Rep. Janice Arnold-Jones (R) are vying for this open seat, which Roll Call rates as Safe Democratic. In Florida’s 26th district, the DCCC canceled $280,000 worth of Miami broadcast television. Rep. David Rivera (R) is reportedly under federal investigation (although the Congressman denies any wrongdoing). Polls show the Republican trailing his opponent, former Miami-Dade Democratic Party Chairman Joe Garcia (D). Roll Call rates this race as Leans Democratic. 2. Good news, especially as the NM race is in my home district

this seat was in repub hands for decades and now this will be 2 Dems in a row. Our current Democratic rep., Martin Heinrich, looks like he's on his way to the Senate , over the very slick and smart, (and very good at POSING as a moderate), Heather Wilson.

3. Put the money into CT & MA Senate races, for two
|
If Scottie the Perv and Linda WWE McMahon are in the Senate instead of Eliz. Warren and Chris Murphy, there will be more repug obstructionism and possibly a Senate majority. THAT we don't need.

9. Does this leave room for at least acknowledgement of Powell, possibly even some slight funding?

11. So,
|
only the amount of money collected is your metric for support for a Dem candidate?
The DCCC should COMPLETELY ignore Powell, even withholding any name recognition based solely on capital on hand. Sorry, I fight for D's. I fight for every single one of them. I'm not going to put a $$$ value on my support of them. |

12. I fight for -AS MANY- as I can...because i can't fight for all of them.
|
and neither can DCCC.
And no, financial strength ISN'T and be all and end all; but it's a metric to take into account. Still, if you have polling in the last 30 days, 'll be happy to look at that as well. |
