New devices make voting easier (Colorado)

Source: 9News

KUSA - If you are sending in your ballot through a mobile device or tablet, Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler insists that you confirm your registration immediately.

In September, Gessler announced that Colorado's online voting system is up and running, which means people can use their mobile devices to vote or update their registration.

Mobile devices can also be used to find voters polling place as well as request and track a mail ballot.

Gessler also claims that using mobile devises makes voter registration easier and more accessible leading up to Election Day.

This is a very poorly written article designed to confuse people.

GOP propaganda disguised as news?

Comments are already calling it "voter fraud"... and I'm inclined to agree if this online ballot is for real. (Which I doubt, according to SoS website)

2. Not Actual Voting

From watching the video, checking the Secretary of States website, calling the Sec of State office. Checked with both Democrat and Republican field offices.

You can - and should - online check your voter registration status - . You may think your a mail in ballot voter , many are ONLY for local elections. You have until Oct. 09-2012 to check the Always Mail Ballot.

You can check the status, change status even party with a mobile device. YOU CAN NOT !! VOTE !! ONLINE.
You can check the status of your mail in ballot, ie mailed to you and received back.

Again to register or check in Colorado go to --> www.GoVoteColorado.com

By computer or mobile device

4. "...people can use their mobile devices to vote or update their registration. " Meh, not so much.

I highly doubt you can vote online in 2012.

5. wondering what would result...

...if this country re-tasked all voting locations to be held at post offices or through usps - only? And super-fund the venture as well. And of course, make it a holiday as well, like some other developed nations do.
