Suspicious Voter Registration Forms Found in 10 Florida Counties
Source: Los Angeles Times
WASHINGTON — Florida elections officials said Friday that at least 10 counties have identified suspicious and possibly fraudulent voter registration forms turned in by a firm working for the Republican Party of Florida, which has filed an election fraud complaint with the the state Division of Elections against its one-time consultant. The controversy in Florida -- which began with possibly fraudulent forms that first cropped up in Palm Beach County -- has engulfed the Republican National Committee, which admitted Thursday that it urged state parties in seven swing states to hire the firm, Strategic Allied Consulting. The RNC paid the company at least $3.1 million -- routed through the state parties of Florida, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina and Virginia -- to register voters and run get out the vote operations. Wisconsin and Ohio had not yet paid the firm for get-out-the-vote operations it was contracted to do. The RNC severed its ties to the firm Thursday after questions arose about the work Strategic Allied did in Palm Beach County, where election officials have turned over to prosecutors 106 voter registration forms submitted by one worker, some of which contained apparent forgeries and other problems. Now elections officials across Florida are scrutinizing voter registration forms turned into their counties on behalf of the state Republican party. The state elections division is also investigating. Read more: http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-voter-registration-florida-republicans-20120928,0,7654954.story

14. Except ACORN was an independent entity and self-reported the fraudulent activities,
|
Whereas Strategic Allied was a paid agent of the GOP, acting under it's authority and guidance, and the fraud was reported by third parties. Other than that, they're exactly the same.

6. So now election officials in all the states that these scum worked should be looking the forms over!
|
We can hope that all those friggin' counties in FL that we remember with horror from 2000, are now examining VR forms associated with Strategic. Maybe some Democratic or even Republican elections supervisor could bring charges right away... Not to mention the Florida Investigation Bureau or whatever its called, or the US DOJ. This could be very widespread, the tip of their iceberg and would explain the sheer arrogance of the 'pugs. This along with ID laws, along with voter purges, along with 50 years of felony convictions on as many people of color that can fit in prison, along with Diebold machines, along with thousands of teaBAGGERS challenging someones right to vote at the polling station on election day, equal us losing... I hope we are ready for this!!!
This will be tough, we have the votes, the process is fucked though... |

Dems seem AWOL on vote protection and GOP tactics. 2000.
Dems Naively rely on midterm gift. 2002 etc. 2004, Kerry thinks they are somewhat prepared for the GOP to do exactly the same as they did in Florida. Not, and the GOP in plain sight does more. Taken to the cleaners in multiple areas right up And on to Obama with the shrug, just have to get more votes. They do, sigh of relief, though some races are lost and the margin repressed by the giveaway to the GOP Election Survival Kit. The GOP are gifted via billionaire financed, media enabled loons with the midterm general wisdom gift. 2008. The close thing of Obama not facing down the fraud directly, the usual outrageous media narratives. Fraud and big money undercut by Romney deciding to make visual ads on behalf of the Obama campaign. Now the interesting prospect of watching the proud GOP cockroaches operating desperately, uselessly, in the daylight, mostly unimpeded. It would be finally nice if the Dem party in power were to gift themselves with up to an automatic 5% of the vote, but the real problem in the supposed naive impotence is the real thumb on the electoral scale. Big money and the party donors. Somehow this creates crippling political amateurism, and an impotence that regulation(Law) fearing corporations love beyond life itself. |

25. ACORN vs This
|
The difference between this and the so-called ACORN scandal is striking. The culprits in ACORN were minimum wage workers who decided on their own to create "Mickey Mouse" ghost registrants to pad their amount of people registered. The goal was to increase their personal pay. There was no attempt to affect outcomes of elections. Just a lame attempt to pilfer from the company. Wrong? Yes. A brazen attempt to subvert democracy? No.
This scandal however seems to be the polar opposite of that. While all the facts are not clear yet it appears workers have been instructed to only register Republicans. That Democratic registrants who were registered had their addresses modified. That these policies were directly paid for by the RNC. ACORN discrepancies were flagged and reported by ACORN. There was no conspiracy to have of people show up at the polls to vote as Mickey Mouse to affect the outcome of an election. Falsifying registrants home addresses has at it's core the goal to disenfranchise legitimate voters. Refusing to register persons from selected political parties is a crime. Somebody needs to go to jail. |

26. Worse than only registering Republicans -
|
is when they use registration forms to tamper with voter name, address, signature, etc. and the voter gets challenged when trying to vote. This results, at best, in a provisional ballot. A provisional ballot in Florida is a sad, easily done away with thing - shredded, thrown into a ditch, whatever. This is quite a well thought out piece of evil.
