Poll: Obama surges ahead among Catholic voters
Source: Washington Post
President Obama’s support among Catholic voters has surged since June, according to a new poll, despite a summer that included the Catholic bishops’ religious freedom campaign and the naming of Rep. Paul Ryan, a Catholic, as the GOP’s vice-presidential candidate. On June 17, Obama held a slight edge over Mitt Romney among Catholics (49-47 percent), according to the Pew Research Center. Since then, Obama has surged ahead, and now leads 54-39 percent, according to a Pew poll conducted on Sept. 16. Among all registered voters, Obama leads Romney 51-42 percent, according to Pew. Obama and Romney are essentially tied among white Catholics, which some pollsters call the ultimate swing group. -snip- Read more: http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/on-faith/poll-obama-surges-ahead-among-catholic-voters/2012/09/26/8115e118-081a-11e2-9eea-333857f6a7bd_story.html

8. And baggers. Don't forget them, they are the GOP's ace in the hole.
|
They're organizing so-called Truth or Verification voting squads to interfere with voters. And they still have that $400M of Koch money earmarked to defeat Obama.
And who knows how much money Mittens' campaign is going to spend in the last weeks of the campaign. A lot of money is also being diverted down ticket to keep the obstruction going, no matter what. Yet, this poll from Pew I find very encouraging. |

"Obama and Romney are essentially tied among white Catholics, which some pollsters call the ultimate swing group. "
Why? Is it because they're not sure the non-white Catholic voters would be able or willing to vote? It would take a lot of white Catholic voters changing direction to overcome a 15% difference. Or do they expect white Catholics to cave to religious pressure? |

Liberal Catholics on one side, Fascist Authoritarian Ryan Republicans on the other.
My Catholics work in the soup kitchens, shelters, and food banks. The other guys stand in the Planned Parenthood driveway with ugly signs... |
