TOP ROMNEY ADVISER: ‘WE ARE A NATION OF PEOPLE DEPENDENT ON THEIR GOVERNMENT’

Source: ThinkProgress

|

Mitt Romney adviser Bay Buchanan reiterated the Republican campaign’s belief that half of Americans are dependent upon government, during an appearance on Meet Thee Press on Sunday. “We are in perilous times in this country. We are looking at financial ruin. We are looking at dependency. We’re a nation of people dependent on their government, and that is what Barack Obama gives us,” she said. Watch it:

People relying on people, we are all in this together, just like a marriage, through thick or thin.

The fascists like Buchanan believe the government is there to serve the rich elite and that the 99% are only good for cheap labor and to fight their wars.

the Romney campaign is failing. Bay Buchanan has to be one of the worst "Senior Campaign advisers" in history! She was manic, shaking, gasping for air in between her comments, rapidly speaking and accusing the panel of ganging up on her even though there was two conservatives on the panel! She's a hot mess. I'm glad she works for Romney and not the Obama team!

She said "Governor Romney showed enormous courage when he choose Paul Ryan as VP" LOL

All it showed was that he is a racists and only wanted a white man on his team!

General Motors (needed bail-out due to its business mistakes), Citibank, Bank of America (and all the other big banks that rely on the Fed and had to be bailed out), the pharmaceutical companies and the medical profession (actually get a lot of the Medicaid and Medicare money), etc.?

Do the Republicans seriously think that there would be much demand for the product of their biggest donors -- the oil and chemical industries -- without government taxes invested in interstate and other highways, road, medical care for everyone, etc.?

Who are the leaches? Who are they anyway?

The poor folks who would starve without food stamps or big agri that relies on subsidies to keep going in tough times?

We are a web. We are interdependent. The government is merely a vehicle that organizes our interdependency in an efficient way. Without the government playing its role, American businesses would be in even worse shape than they are.

Seriously, where would the pharmaceutical industry be without the CDC and all the basic research done in universities -- such as that done on the genome, on bacteria, on evolution just for a few examples?

so with that being the case, yeah I would guess we are a nation of "people" dependent upon government.

Now, when you're talking about citizens, you're talking out your ass... but then again, your brother lost when you were working on his campaign and this knucklehead is going to lose whether or not you're within spitting distance of his campaign.

Go sit down and shut up, old woman.

Corporations are people, or so I've been told, and these corporations and their bedwetting CEOs are definitely dependent on their government for tax breaks and subsidies. We've got to do something about that.
