Ryan Gets Booed At The AARP

Source: ThinkProgress

On Friday afternoon, Paul Ryan addressed the AARP’s National Annual Conference in New Orleans. The GOP vice presidential candidate attacked Obamacare for taking $716 billion out of Medicare — the very same cuts he included in his budget — and made the case for transforming seniors’ health care from a guaranteed benefit into a premium support “voucher” program. The address didn’t go over well. One man called Ryan a “liar” at the very beginning and the audience repeatedly booed his critique of President Obama.

Hooray for you folks in New Orleans!

And I love DU...

I'm so proud I even made a SONG about the "FAR REICH" Republicans...

a rousing song to sing while they join arms and take a flying leap:

(sung to the tune of "We Are The Champions&quot

(With Gusto)

"WE ARE THE DOUCHE-BAGS!...WE ARE THE DOUCHE BAGS"!

While you are at it, please take 'Crazy-eyes Bachman' and all the other Sarah Palin clones over the cliff with you.

Good Riddance.

Thanks again, New Orleans- you got the spirit!

I am still all aglow with pride over the folks in New Orleans. It was beautiful.

Two things have really given me hope- one was finding DU, and the other was watching the Democratic Convention- woooooo-ah! Every speech was great!

36. Seniors Aren't Stupid
Fri Sep 21, 2012, 07:47 PM
Sep 2012

There is an assumption that senior citizens only care about THEIR medicare. This is not accurate. These people know that there grandkids now will be able to stay on their parents policy until they are 26, they know that their sons and daughters won't be denied health care do to "Pre-existing conditions", and they know that nt a dime of the $700 million medicare cuts were taken from their benefits.

This country has never been "center left" as the bull shit Faux News talking point would like people to believe. Americans want fairness and a balance of capitalism with government acting as an umpire. Seniors citizens have seen a lot more in their life time than "Skippy Ryan" and they know a PHONY when they see one.
