Swing-State Poll: Obama Lead Grows

His 47% remark was the final nail in the coffin. He and the rest of the GOP know he sure as hell isn't gonna win now.

I know who NOT to vote for by what they put in their yards. Fox-loving, anti-abortion, Xtian-like households who put up every sign for every far-right candidate in Wisconsin and Dane Co. And yet not ONE of them has a RMoney sign in their yards. Not one.

I have seen a grand total of TWO RMoney bumper stickers in Wisconsin and one was on an out-of-state vehicle.

I've also seen very few Obama campaign materials.

I live in Kentucky, and literally, you can't swing a dead cat w/o hitting a Romney sign. It's very disappointing, too, since us rednecks enjoy cat swinging so much. I've NEVER seen it like this before (I'm 50). Even back when Reagan had those two landslide victories in '80 and '84, there wasn't repub signs out like they are now. If signs did the voting, it would be a 10-to-1 Romney victory in Kentucky (and no, I'm not exaggerating). Granted, nobody really expected Obama to win here, but I still can't get over the overwhelming flood of Romneyites (or maybe it's just the lack of Obama signs this time around).

Perhaps I should drive up to Chicago to see a place where it is the other way around.

Otherwise, there'd be a lot of Obama signs up, I'm sure. Drive to Ohio, instead. Its going to go for Obama and, depending on where you live, it may be a lot closer than Chicago.

...how DESPERATE these people are to try and elevate their lipstick-smeared pig-candidate to legitimacy when they don't really trust the fucker as far as they could toss him, themselves.

By the way, down here in cajun-land, every crawfish boil or cochon de lait features at least ONE good cat swingin'. Of course, the cats don't really mind 'cause they're too full of crawfish or roast pig to give a shit.

Now, how to get a sign without giving money or anything...

It's purple in local and state politics, but it hasn't voted republican in a presidential race since 1972. 2000 was close enough that they started trying to win here, but they've actually done worse ever since. This year, it's going to be a 10-15 point spread. Romney is a joke.

So they CAN steal it, or even award it to Robme by legislative fiat. That is almost certainly the plan.

Given Robme's continuing movement to the right, even though he already has the nomination, it is clear he is making no effort to appeal to swing voters or independents, only to the hard-core crazies. Why else would he do that?

He is acting as though he knows that our votes will not matter.

here in Northwest Florida. And this is a very conservative part of Florida. (Joe Scarborough's hometown!) Went heavily for Bush in 2000 and 2004. I have seen a few Obama signs around town and a few bumper stickers. Even fewer Romney bumper stickers and probably NO signs. Our neighbor had a McCain/Palin Sign in their yard in 2008. This year, they've had one sign for a local election for Clerk of the Court. NO Romney sign.

When asked on tv, "Republicans are concerned about you slipping in the polls. They want to know what you are going to do to turn this thing around?" Romney says, "We're actually TIED in the polls..." How can a person "continue" to be in denial?

Rmoney is NOT in the "reality based community", these are the "We make our own reality" people. The question is whether they can still fudge it enough and whether, if they do, the public and the rest of the political establishment will put up with it again.
