Republicans pull 3 key staffers from Romney election effort in New Mexico

Source: Associated Press

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — In the latest sign that Republicans are failing to gain traction in New Mexico, national party leaders are pulling three key staffers from their effort here to elect Mitt Romney.

Party officials confirmed Wednesday that the GOP Victory campaign's director, Hispanic outreach director and communications director will be transferred to more competitive states as part of a shift in the Republican National Committee's resources.

They emphasized, however, that all of the state campaign offices will remain open and staffed through the election.

"The GOP Victory organization will maintain a presence in New Mexico and continue talking to voters about how President Obama's economic policies have failed New Mexico and Governor Romney's plan to strengthen the middle class," said RNC spokesman Ted Kwong.

"Alabama is part if the US"

21. A very good year and I am frankly surprised

but pleasantly so..

I have seen only one sign for Romney.. a hand painted sign on the back window of a SUV.. nothing else. No yard signs or bumper stickers.

I know they have pulled party funding for Heather and also removed three of the Regressive hottentots who were over-seeing her campaign, but we mustn't discount the millions of dollars that are on their way to New Mexico or so I hear - and the obscene amount of money that is no longer coming from the rethugs, is most likely coming from the neo-cons behind the curtain

However, I don't think it is going to help Heather and I hope she retires for-evahhhh

4. And So It Begins.....

The next bid domino to topple will be when Rove, the Kochs, and other big money PAC interests start pulling their money from Romney/Ryan ads and start frantically pouring it into Congressional races! Worst Candidate EVER!

6. NM has never been closer than 5% and that's with a GOP poll

and it's never been considered a swing state, not since we got paper ballots statewide. Oh, the Republicans still cheat, they can't help themselves, it's just harder now.

What has happened is that the state GOP and the teabagger governor Martinez are so mad at Romney they're spitting super hot chiles. Martinez got roped into speaking at that flop of a convention and now Romney has been caught telling the truth about the party. They're backing away from him as fast as they can so he doesn't drag the rest of their candidates down with him.

It's got nothing to do with swing state status. NM was never a swing state in the first place.

8. I wonder if it's the money

Romney has been fund raising around the clock and he might not have the money going to compete in any place he's behind 3 or more percentage points.
