Former Republican presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann on Friday asserted that the recent attacks on American embassies in Libya and Egypt were part of a plan to bring Sharia law to the United States. “The violence has come to us, the United States,” the Minnesota congresswoman warned in a speech at the Values Voter Summit. “And on the anniversary of 9-1-1, no less, our Libyan ambassador and his courageous staff lost their lives in Benghazi in Libya in a cruel, cold-blooded, gruesome, intentional terror attack.” “And all the while, the response of this administration has communicated both weakness and lack of resolve to the world,” she charged. “I want to be perfectly clear, this isn’t just about a movie.
