Putin says Romney comment justifies Russia’s opposition to US missile defense plans
Source: Washington Post
By Associated Press, Updated: Tuesday, September 11, 12:33 PM MOSCOW — President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that a comment made by U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney has made Russia feel justified in opposing America’s missile defense plans in Europe. The Republican challenger to President Barack Obama has branded Russia the “No. 1 geopolitical foe” of the United States. Putin said in remarks carried by Russian news wires that Romney’s statement has “strengthened Russia’s positions in talks on this important and sensitive subject,” but added that he would work with Romney if he’s elected. Something tells me this really doesn't mean a thing except that Putin isn't a Romney fan and can't resist rattling his saber just a little. Let's see how long it takes the RW to snark about Obama's comment to Putin about his "flexibility" if he's reelected.
Can I just take a second here to comment that I love politics? I love it like the junkie loves the fix, and it might just as surely be the death of me. |

Like Obama said during his speech - 'How can we expect Romney to have talks with Beijing if he can't even go to the Olympics without insulting our closest allies' (something like that). Romney is a dangerous choice for president because he has no fricking clue how to chat with others without offending them. BTW welcome to DU |

Hillary should blister Romney's ass in the press and tell him "If you're any kind of business man, you should understand chain of command. Please route all future ridiculous geopolitical statements through me so I can round file them and slap you silly, you entitled blustering cretin." |

20. That actually is a fantastic suggestion...

Hillary is ballsy enough to say something like that, and smart enough to pull it off. And it would be interesting to see her let off the leash for a bit in terms of helping the re-election effort, she is still damn good at being a politician, and a lot of people like her, and a lot more have learned to trust her as Sec.State. She isn't one to go wandering off the reservation though, (too loyal) and so would have to be cleared by the re-election team to actually do it. But DAMN would that be funny=).
"...Please route all future ridiculous geopolitical statements through me..."--just THAT sentence fragment would tie up the cycle for Mittens and Crew for at LEAST 3 days lol... |

I knew that this would happen. What would he do as president if a serious contender for a country's highest office call the US their number one enemy? He'd probably promise war if that person were elected. Let's hope that Romney isn't elected. We will have the Cold War part two or another World War, which if the world makes it through, will probably put the US on the wrong side of history.

NOT. He cannot be let in charge of anything, least of all our relations with other countries. He has absolutely no clue as to what is going on outside his little fantasy world.
