Admin. extends Salvadoran deportation freeze

The Obama administration has extended temporary protected status to El Salvadoran nationals through late 2013, shielding them from deportation and forcible return to their home country.

The Department of Homeland Security cites ongoing disruptions from a series of earthquakes in 2001, concluding that "El Salvador remains unable, temporarily, to handle adequately the return of its nationals."

Michael Savage was complaining that Republicans didn't bring up this case in today's campaign day and speculated that if Republicans did bring this case up they'd win votes. However, this will just backfire given that if Republicans did say "Obama granted amnesty" eventually the truth would come out that Republicans advocate unnecessary human suffering...just like Gingrich wanting poor kids to be janitors.
