15 Percent of Ohio Republicans Think Mitt Romney Killed Osama bin Laden
Source: Heavy
Who is responsible for the killing of Osama bin Laden? President Barack Obama or Mitt Romney? Seems like a pretty simple question, but apparently not if you're an Ohio Republican. According to a new poll by Public Policy Polling (see the full poll results below), 15 percent of Ohio Republicans believe that Mitt Romney deserves credit for killing Osama bin Laden. The poll, which also found a five-point lead for President Obama in Ohio, asked participants who they thought deserved more credit for the death of Osama bin Laden Barack Obama or Mitt Romney. Throughout all of Ohio the results were 63 percent for Obama, 31 percent for not sure, and 6 percent for Romney. When you look at the numbers exclusively for the GOP the results are 38 percent for Obama, 47 percent for not sure, and 15 percent for Romney. It's one sick, ass-backward country; but for damn good reason. It's "the voice" they hear, day in and day out. I thought they said that W. trained the troops, set up the entire operation, had the uncanny foresight to see into the future to know when and where Osama would be for the prefect strike to take him out and even paid for the entire military operation himself out of his own pocket but then that evil democrat Obama stole his third term Presidency out from under poor W. and got to give the GO Ahead for the strike team to proceed instead and then took all of Bush's glory for himself?

49. This only proves that at least 15% of Ohio Republican voters are unadulterated white racists
|
To deny a black person credit when it is due, no matter how clearly due, is a trait of white American racists. A good example of this is Rush Limbaugh's implication that any black person who rises to a level of excellence and accomplishment must be a beneficiary of affirmative action programs, even if the accomplishment in question is holding a position as an NFL quarterback or as president of the United States. Utter hypocrisy is also a trait; the same rugged individualists who touted "We (entrepreneurs) built that" (with no help from anybody) at the GOP convention two weeks ago suddenly see the point of "it takes a village" whenever they hear "Obama got Osama" and attempt to give all the credit to the Navy Seals who carried out the mission, rather than the man who directed intelligence agencies to find Osama and approve the mission after he was briefed on the situation. The current phenomenon of birtherism is a variation on the same theme, and the congressional Republicans' refusal to cooperate with president at all for any reason, regardless of the pain it causes middle class or poor Americans, is simply bare ass racism. Another example is charging that the only reason Obama gives good speeches is because he reads them off his teleprompter, while ignoring that President Reagan, "the great communicator" who made a living as a Hollywood actor before entering politics, handled the teleprompter like he invented it.
Of course, Republicans would have opposed any Democratic president who won election in 2008, even a WASP male. They quite likely would have tried to place the blame President Hilary Clinton or President Joe Biden or President Chris Dodd for the many, many failings of President George W. Bush. Still, I cannot be convinced that it would have been anywhere near this vicious. |

I actually was written up on my last job for saying "scumbag republicans" within earshot of a republican co worker. This person ran to Human resources, claiming I called her a scumbag Republican...Damn!! I wasn't even talking to her. It was requested I apologize to her, and have no more problems with her, or I would be discharged... I gave her my best non apology....LOL I saw the human resources director snicker a bit when I did that...I retired about 4 months after that. The plant closed about 7 months after that... I currently live in an affluent suburb, which wasn't always that way. I inherited my Parents place where I grew up. I probably couldn't afford to live here, if I had to buy, or rent...I'm probably one of maybe 15 natives left here. I'm surrounded by Particle board Mc Mansions. (Homes built cheap, to look expensive.) Damn Yuppies and Baggers everywhere....Arrrrrgh!!! |
