Arianna Huffington plans to vote Obama, might switch if Romney advocates Afghanistan pulloutLast edited Wed Aug 29, 2012, 06:46 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
Source: The Daily Caller
TAMPA, Fla. — Arianna Huffington currently plans to vote for President Barack Obama in November. Huffington told The Daily Caller, however, that she has been disappointed by Obama’s first term and would consider voting for Mitt Romney if the Republican candidate advocates an end to U.S. military involvement in Afghanistan. “My vote does not depend on a particular party, like, I’m not reflexively voting a particular party, but I will vote for Obama,” Huffington told TheDC during a sit-down interview following an event about American entrepreneurs and job creators she hosted in Tampa on Wednesday. Huffington reflected on her disappointment with Obama for campaigning on “bold ideas”, but instead governing as a “timid” president. And despite pledging her support to the president, Huffington said she wasn’t sure he would change for the better in a second term. “I don’t know. I think, as I said on The Huffington Post, it’s Obama versus Obama as well as Obama versus Romney,” she said. “We don’t know whether the campaigning Obama of bold ideas or the governing Obama, who’s been much more timid, is going to be the second term Obama if he wins.” Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2012/08/29/arianna-huffington-plans-to-vote-obama-might-switch-if-romney-advocates-afghanistan-pullout/

6. That horse's name was Andrew Breitbart who helped her set up Huffpo.
|
Andrew Breitbart, the hyperactive, charming, and divisive creator of Big Government and its sister sites who died today at 43, also served as the link between two of the dominant media forces of the last decade: The Drudge Report, which he helped run for years, and Huffington Post, where he was present — briefly — at the creation.
Breitbart’s role as Drudge’s right hand is well known; less public was his brief, memorable stint as one of four partners in the Huffington Post in 2005. It’s a story that hasn’t been told in great detail, but BuzzFeed founder Jonah Peretti, who also co-founded the Huffington Post with the site’s namesake Arianna Huffington and media business figure Ken Lerer, recalled that period in an interview today. Breitbart’s role later became contested — he brashly claimed total credit for “the plan,” which his former partners denied — but he was an unmissable presence in the Soho office that was for a time Huffington Post’s New York headquarters. There, for a month in the spring of 2005, he worked closely with Lerer (who is now Chairman of BuzzFeed), and Peretti, a graduate of MIT’s media lab, to launch the site... http://www.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeedpolitics/how-andrew-breitbart-helped-launch-huffington-post |

Her site has been getting less and less pro dem and in some cases shows signs of foxlike GOP bursts of bullshit. Anyone that can change vote on one issue is not a democrat and not smart and certainly not deserving of ever visiting her site again.
I barely do now anyway since she sold out, but she looks like she is Arianna flip flopper. Used to be repiglican didn't she? Perhaps now she has enough money with what she ripped everyone else out of with that sale, and has hung around the pigs long enough that she wants to go home. Go, you stupid bitch, go back to the pigs and wallow. |

24. She was GOP for a long time. And still is, probably. Don't be fooled, most media is GOP owned:
|
Arianna Huffington conservative Republican
Do you remember Arianna Huffington the conservative Republican? She and her husband Michael exploded on the political scene of the California Central Coast in 1992... Unseating an incumbent cost millions and that was just the primary. Then there was the general election. He spent $5.4 million, a national record, for a lot of negative television commercials, $5.1 million of his own oil fortune was poured into the race... http://sloblogs.thetribunenews.com/slovault/2008/09/arianna-huffington-conservative-republican/ Arianna Huffington Thinks Paul Ryan Is Like George Clooney Arianna Huffington seemingly had a different opinion. According to the media mogul, Paul Ryan is more like Hollywood star George Clooney. “He’s like, a bit of a heartthrob,” she explained, adding: “He also looks good without a shirt.” She continued, adding a bit of criticism for the “heartthrob”: “When he’s next to Romney, Romney has a kind of twinkle in his eye. But here’s the problem– it’s a little bit…you know how you fall in love with a woman because she’s feisty, independent, has her own views…and then you get married, and immediately you want to turn her into a doormat. And that’s happened to Paul Ryan. Paul Ryan has become a doormat.” Pardon the source, which is wing nut but the video which is from Bill Maher's Real Time segment, shows that the quote is accurate: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/hear-why-arianna-huffington-thinks-paul-ryan-is-like-george-clooney/ I could beat this dead horse a while longer, but no, I tell people there really is no liberal media. Just a few crumbs tossed to keep us swallowing subliminally the Reich wing message. Which is always that we and our views are weak, unwanted and we are the minority in the country. Not true. |

Yeah.. vote for the WAR monger if he SAYS he'd pull the troops out. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Does she think these comments through, at all? The President has a PLAN in place, that will get us out of the war he did NOT start. But Huffington will consider voting for the Military Industrial Complex Candidate? Really? Yeah, the troops will leave Afghanistan, on their way to Iran and Syria, you twit.
"ooh.. I'm just soooo disappointed in the President." Again, is she stupid? Does she understand that the republican Congress pretty much put a wrench in everything 2 years ago? The President has brought back many industries, the housing market is booming, we've had PRIVATE sector job growth for 29 months. Did she not get her pony he promised? WTF? |
