Democrats target Paul Ryan on women's issues
Source: AP-Excite
By NICHOLAS RICCARDI LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Since Mitt Romney selected Paul Ryan as his running mate, the presidential campaign's focus has largely centered on the Wisconsin congressman's ambitious plan to transform Medicare and slash government spending. But President Barack Obama's re-election team and its allies have also been highlighting the congressman's staunchly anti-abortion stance, hoping to buttress its argument that the Republican ticket is hostile to women's rights. Ryan has earned a perfect rating from the National Right to Life Committee for his votes during his 14 years in Congress. The National Abortion Rights Action League tallied 59 votes that Ryan took on abortion-related bills. On each measure, he voted against abortion rights. "I'm as pro-life as a person gets," Ryan told The Weekly Standard, a conservative magazine, in 2010. FULL story at link. Read more: http://apnews.excite.com/article/20120820/DA0OTS8O0.html

3. The Obama campaign has done a stellar job of hitting R&R simultaneously on every possible front.
|
If Romney thought Ryan's selection was going to give him a chance to gain his footing, just chalk it up to yet another gross miscalculation. Willard Romney's life-long scam has run its course.

Is the intent of this outrageous issue
to try to make Ryan into some macho superhero? He can redefine rape, make it legitimate in some cases to violate the sanctity of women His budget attempts to make it legitimate to violate the sanctity of Medicare with VoucherCare and violate the sanctity of Social Security with private accounts managed by Wall Street Rape is rape by any definition Trying to make superheros by twisting and manipulating minds with garbage is anti-Christian in my book |

7. (pic) Ryan and Akin team up on defining rape for women so men can restrict abortions

8. My political dream for him
|
Romney/Ryan lose in their quest to take over the White House in November. Ryan loses to his Democratic challenger in his Wisconsin race to keep his House seat. He would at least momentarily be seen as simply one of the vast unemployed. Although traditionally, Republicans who lose their seats are often given jobs elsewhere within the political network, the Republicans come to realize this guy is simply too hot to handle and isn't going anywhere and make no such offer. Oh, but wait, there are the Koch Brothers standing by him willing to give him a helping hand.
Oh, well, it is still a great visual to picture both Ryan and Eric Cantor standing in line for their food stamps and unemployment benefits. Sam |

9. Why would any woman voluntarily vote Republican?
|
I just do not understand this.
Rape is sex without consent. Period. There is no need to redefine it. Men have played that shell game against women for far too fucking long. It pisses me off! |

14. Maybe not. I think it is more fear, than hatred.

Last edited Mon Aug 20, 2012, 09:52 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) It is about control, which I suppose is a form of hatred. But the hatred is only a means to their ends: control and subjugation.
And that is based on fear, I think. They do not want to share power with any so-called out group, whether it be non-Caucasian, female, LGBT, or any other other. They are scared little boys. |

13. It's not just abortion
|
I think that the his co-sponsorship of the "Sanctity of Life" bill which defines life as beginning with fertiliization is a much bigger issue. This means that use of the pill would be criminalized. Spread this word too. 95% are either taking the pill or have taken it in their lifetime. These idiots want women pregnant and powerless.

|
Between the "I'm more conservative than you are..." primaries, the assumption that Romney doesn't have to worry about the poor because they have the safety net that Ryan is dismantling, and that little gaff about assuming middle class parents have the capital to loan their kids enough money to start a business, are the Republicans trying to lose this November?
