MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) -
The daughter of former Alabama governor Don Siegelman has created a petition to try to get her father pardoned.

Dana Siegelman is seeking 1,500 signatures to urge the Obama Administration to pardon Don Siegelman of his bribery conviction. Siegelman was recently resentenced to 6 years after the U.S. Supreme Court refused to see his appeal.

The petition is being hosted on Change.org and is prominently featured on DonSiegelman.org.

not prudent to throw that kind of red meat to Rmoney during the campaign.

Pity Don has to rot in jail until then because of poliitical expediency.

hat's off to Dana S. for keeping this in the public view.

I hope this is one of the first thing Obama does during his
second term.

Mike Papantionio was telling this story the other day. I've heard it before and my outrage grows everytime. Karl Rove belongs behind bars.

This has to be one of the worst abuses of justice in recent memory.

I hope this goes viral and that the perps, Karl Rove and his band of Republican crooks in Alabama who perpetrated this crime, most of all the Judge who should never have been on this case or any other for that matter, in the first place will eventually pay dearly for all their crimes.

Siegelman is a political prisoner, courtesy of Karl Rove and his minions.

Kudos to all those who have spoken out against it, especially Conservatives who could have remained silent, but chose not to this time.

Rove is a blight on this nation.

Sad to see this injustice has continued... I wrote Don Seigelman when he was first arrested and imprisoned, was glad to see him a free man, shocked to see this still going on!

It's not Gov. Seigelman who should be going to jail.

The Pork Barrel World of Judge Mark Fuller

by Scott Horton
Harpers

EXCERPT...

The recusal motion rested upon details about Fuller’s personal business interests. On February 22, 2007, defense attorneys obtained information that Judge Fuller held a controlling 43.75% interest in government contractor Doss Aviation, Inc. After investigating these claims for over a month, the attorneys filed a motion for Fuller’s recusal on April 18, 2007. The motion stated that Fuller’s total stake in Doss Aviation was worth between $1-5 million, and that Fuller’s income from his stock for 2004 was between $100,001 and $1 million dollars.

In other words, Judge Fuller likely made more from his business income, derived from U.S. Government contracts, than as a judge. Fuller is shown on one filing as President of the principal business, Doss Aviation, and his address is shown as One Church Street, Montgomery, Alabama, the address of the Frank M. Johnson Federal Courthouse, in which his chambers are located.
