KABUL — Three NATO troops were killed Wednesday when two suicide bombers targeted them as they walked to a meeting of Afghan officials in Konar province, officials said.
At least one Afghan civilian also died in the blasts, which occurred in Asadabad, the provincial capital of eastern Konar province near the border with Pakistan, foreign and Afghan officials said.

NATO did not identify the troops who were killed, but an Afghan official said he believed they were Americans, as are the bulk of coalition forces in the rugged province.
