The 'person of interest' that the Federal Bureau of Investigations was interested in talking with in connection with the temple shooting investigation has been identified, contacted, and ruled out as having anything to do with the incident, FBI spokesman Leonard Peace said at 2:45 p.m.
The man was observed taking video of family members gathered in a parking lot near the temple on Sunday, within an hour of the shooting. He was dressed in black, had a 9-11-01 tattoo, and did not interact with anyone at the scene.

At a news conference at 10 a.m., authorities said there were attempting to identify another person, a white male, who they described as "a person of interest."
A man matching the photo officials showed was seen by Journal Sentinel reporters at the scene of the temple Sunday, possibly video taping what was going on. Anyone with information on the man is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Does this mean that the witnesses were correct in saying there was a second person? I know it was a situation where it may have been hard to know who was who at the time, but several witnesses said that he did not act alone.

(5,342 posts)They have continued Bush's 'wanted dead or alive' theme and have stoked up fear, anger and hate to keep their followers voting. They have suggested that Obama is a Muslim terrorist who wasn't born in this country and wants to take guns away so Muslims can take over the United States. They are so full of fear it isn't even funny.
It is time to stop this mess now. No, it's past time.

(114 posts)That dude would stand out in a community of Sikhs.
And I'm not surprised that there may have been a second person. It makes perfect sense in the twisted White Power world that someone would capture video and photos for future white supremacist internet propaganda.
My 7-year old daughter saw this on the news. I had to explain the concept of bigotry to her.
And that you're not born a hater. And that someone taught these people to hate.

(541 posts)MSNBC was covering the Olympics. The only coverage it got was from CNN, and I hear no one watches them anyway. This morning it just barely got a mention on my favorite progressive talk radio shows. Not sure what's going on or if anyone else noticed this.
