Michele Bachmann joins board of Ann Arbor-based Christian activists August 4, 2012 By Niraj Warikoo Detroit Free Press Staff Writer U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., was named Thursday to the citizens advisory board of an Ann Arbor-based legal center that fights for conservative Christian causes. The appointment of Bachmann, who dropped out of the presidential primary in January, brings another high-profile conservative to the Thomas More Law Center, which increasingly has focused on Islam in recent years. In May, the center named U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., whose views also have sparked controversy, to the advisory board. "I am pleased to join forces with the Thomas More Law Center," Bachmann said Thursday. "They are in the courts aggressively fighting the internal threat to America posed by radical Islam." -snip- Established in 1998 by Domino's Pizza founder Tom Monaghan, a conservative Catholic, the Thomas More Law Center has filed suits in a number of cases involving the rights of conservative Christians. It supported the right of a school in Pennsylvania to teach creationism, fought gay rights ordinances and opposes the contraception mandate announced by the Obama administration this year. -snip- Read more: http://www.freep.com/article/20120804/NEWS05/308040070/Michele-Bachmann-joins-board-of-Ann-Arbor-based-Christian-activists?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|FRONTPAGE|s I'm betting as soon as you read "Ann Arbor-based Christian activists," you knew this involved Tom Monaghan. 2. So, the theory is that by using Radical Christianity...
|
to combat radical Islam... they'll... what? Create more tolerance? Start a war? Win? I hate this kind of crap.
If there were any evidence of Bachman's claim of this "internal threat", I would think that, surely, someone would have seen it by now? Besides her and her fundy lunatic friends, I mean. |

3. Ask the Idiots at Thomas More how they did in Harrisburg?
|
Kitzmiller v. Dover.
Go to NCSE and read all about it. Thomas More Law Center are minds untroubled by thought, and dumb as a bag of hammers. |

4. Multi-Cultural !!!!!!!
|
We are a great melting pot of humanity but we pay a huge price and always will.
More wars have been fought over religion for many centuries. "WE THE PEOPLE". It sounds grand but you can also walk right off a cliff. That in essence is what has happened in Washington when small group of GOP members have decided to walk off the cliff. They went on vacation instead of doing the right thing and passing legislation to help the United States. What they really did was show us all how they really care and feel about us citizens. Come November we all have a real choice and we all better vote for those who want to lead us in the 21st century and 22nd century and lets not confuse ourselves I am not referring to the 21st century, 22 Century BC. We cannot keep the status quo in Washington anymore. |

8. Fight for "Conservative Christian Causes".....
|
.. and prey tell.. what would those "causes" be?
Helping the hungry? Helping the Homeless? Helping the foreclosed? And how are "Conservative Christain Values" different from those people that are foreclosed, no health insurance, unemployed.. no food, no job, no hope? I don't see Michelle Bachman or Tom Monaghan helping anyone except their own bottom line.... |

to want Bachmann.
“Our voice has been growing louder and stronger. And it is made up of Americans from all walks of life like a three legged stool. It’s the peace through strength Republicans, and I’m one of them, it’s fiscal conservatives, and I’m one of them, and it’s social conservatives, and I’m one of them. It’s the Tea Party movement and I’m one of them.” ~Michele Bachmann~ Yes Michele you are definitely one of "them". http://www.funnyordie.com/slideshows/65c6b11c2e/alternate-michele-bachmann-newsweek-covers#slide9 |
