Obama Holds Big Lead Over Romney
Source: Political Wire
August 02, 2012 Obama Holds Big Lead Over Romney A new Pew Research survey shows President Obama opening up a wide lead over Mitt Romney in the presidential race, 51% to 41%. Key findings: "By a 52% to 37% margin, more voters say they have an unfavorable than favorable view of Romney... Obama's image remains, by comparison, more positive -- 50% offer a favorable assessment of the president, 45% an unfavorable one." The election is 3 months away. A lot of Republican bullshit can happen between now and then. Do not assume an easy Obama win at this point. Keep pushing...HARD!

Who's next? Newt? Portman? Oh, yes, Ahnold, Rick Perry, Rubio. It would be quite a trick. Rubio to the front, Romney to the dog house. Funny, though, I can't say it's not possible. The GOP knows how to shift, and put the PR to work. |

|
that the Democratic Party and the Obama Campaign has learned
the Dukakis Lesson of 1988. Dukakis sat silent without advertising all summer. Bush defined him. The Obama campaign went on offense here. They have helped to define Mitt, and have blunted being defined themselves. It's just a first step, but it's solid. Let's get back to work. |

24. National polls are nice ... but it is all about 271.
|
Presidential elections are based on the electoral college, state-by-state, to 271+.
Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Iowa, etc. is where the Obama campaign needs to shine. |

|
Especially as, if something happens in let's say FLORIDA, the media will gladly say Mitt earned to victory, even though the attempts to repress democrat votes are being done in broad daylight.
Be the Tortoise, not the Hare! We have not won one damn thing until Mitt gives up and goes home, even then, the GOP will still act like Obama stole the office. |

Last edited Sat Aug 4, 2012, 09:48 AM USA/ET - Edit history (2) I live in Ohio and Obama is pulling out a modest lead here. The Romney Campaign and the pro-Romney Super-PACs are flooding the airwaves with TV ads in Ohio. Back to back anti-Obama ads running on TV are not unusual here. They are most likely doing this in Florida, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Missouri as well. If the Romney advertising machine can turn it in his favor in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania he is back in the game. Do not stop fighting the good fight until Nov. 5.

Except the R convention is first, so we don't have to worry as much about their convention bounce. Plus hopefully they won't have something like Palin, which was what gave them a little steam at first.
