Obama Holds Big Lead Over Romney

A new Pew Research survey shows President Obama opening up a wide lead over Mitt Romney in the presidential race, 51% to 41%.

Key findings: "By a 52% to 37% margin, more voters say they have an unfavorable than favorable view of Romney... Obama's image remains, by comparison, more positive -- 50% offer a favorable assessment of the president, 45% an unfavorable one."

1. DO NOT RELAX! REPEAT: DO NOT RELAX!

The election is 3 months away. A lot of Republican bullshit can happen between now and then. Do not assume an easy Obama win at this point. Keep pushing...HARD!

5. Republicans would like for voters to believe that Obama has it in the bag

Just like this story,it could be this is being set up by the Rpukes or a Karl Rove operative unit so Democrats will just stay home thinking we got it made no need to vote.,....Thats what you're talking about correct?

16. Remember the old adage...

"When you're one point down, run like you're ten points down. When you're ten points up, run like you're ten points down." Never take anything for granted.

3. Sounds good, looks good BUT

the goppers have tons of dark money plus, voter suppression laws and the purging. The gop state of secretaries are ready to do their cheating.

I do not trust the gop.

8. I do not believe it and neither should anyone else. We have almost the entire corporate media

Against us. No one moves that quickly. Also how does it relate to electoral college votes

Unemployment figures come out tomorrow, and even if they are better, I have no doubt all the MSM outlets will be giving more air time to the rethugs what they think

10. Obama is only 4 points ahead in battlegrounds

What must be demoralizing to Romney is his puny 3 point lead in Repub states. Even they're not really buying what he's selling!

11. We need a big buffer zone to ward off October surprises and voter suppression.

This is encouraging, but the Republicans can - and will - do anything to win.

13. Obama will not be running against Romney.

The GOP will install a different, fresher, more appealing puppet to run against him at the end of this month.

15. LOL ... You mean the tax returns really ARE going to be released?

It was all a charade? Mitt's just the front guy, the advance man?

Who's next? Newt? Portman? Oh, yes, Ahnold, Rick Perry, Rubio.

It would be quite a trick. Rubio to the front, Romney to the dog house.

Funny, though, I can't say it's not possible.

The GOP knows how to shift, and put the PR to work.

17. Willing to put $20 on it?

At the end of August, if Romney is still the GOP candidate, you donate $20 to Obama. If not, I donate.

What do you say?

19. Sure. That sounds reasonable.

The GOP honchos have been dumping on Romney in public so I'm sure they have plans other than Romney in the works.

14. At this point, let us give thanks

that the Democratic Party and the Obama Campaign has learned
the Dukakis Lesson of 1988.

Dukakis sat silent without advertising all summer. Bush defined him.

The Obama campaign went on offense here. They have helped to define
Mitt, and have blunted being defined themselves.

It's just a first step, but it's solid.

Let's get back to work.

24. National polls are nice ... but it is all about 271.

Presidential elections are based on the electoral college, state-by-state, to 271+.

Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Iowa, etc. is where the Obama campaign needs to shine.

26. It is close enough to steal

Especially as, if something happens in let's say FLORIDA, the media will gladly say Mitt earned to victory, even though the attempts to repress democrat votes are being done in broad daylight.

Be the Tortoise, not the Hare!

We have not won one damn thing until Mitt gives up and goes home, even then, the GOP will still act like Obama stole the office.

27. This is not over

I live in Ohio and Obama is pulling out a modest lead here. The Romney Campaign and the pro-Romney Super-PACs are flooding the airwaves with TV ads in Ohio. Back to back anti-Obama ads running on TV are not unusual here. They are most likely doing this in Florida, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Missouri as well. If the Romney advertising machine can turn it in his favor in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania he is back in the game. Do not stop fighting the good fight until Nov. 5.

Except the R convention is first, so we don't have to worry as much about their convention bounce. Plus hopefully they won't have something like Palin, which was what gave them a little steam at first.

Absolutely no way we can be relaxed...an all out effort is required...no substitute fot total victory!
