"He didn't pay taxes for 10 years! Now, do I know that that's true? Well, I'm not certain," said Reid. "But obviously he can't release those tax returns. How would it look? Notice Reid did NOT say it was a fact, he said he was not certain and he said Romney "CAN'T" release those returns because of how it would look. Even if he really did pay taxes all those years, he will have to show his returns for people to believe him, and if this is NOT the reason he isn't showing them, then there is something else in their that would be just as bad. Also if he claimed he lived in another state when he voted for Brown in Mass. that would be voter fraud and that is a felony! Seems to me like Reid is putting Romney into a no win situation here, but also covering himself by saying out front he is not certain about Romney not paying taxes for 10 years. Now if Romney can only get through the convention, become the crowned nominee, and then democrats can go after him again about his taxes it will be the perfect storm, for Romney!  |
