Obama to attend shooting victims’ memorial service in Colorado

President Obama is preparing to visit Aurora, Colo., on Sunday to visit with families of the victims of Friday’s mass shooting at a movie theater in the Denver suburb that killed a dozen people, the White House announced.

Obama would fly West a day before a previously scheduled three-day campaign swing, which will take him to Reno, San Francisco, Portland, Ore., Seattle and New Orleans. The president plans to continue on that trip after he attends the Aurora service.

In Colorado, grief over theater shooting and a hunt for answers: After gunfire killed 12 and injured dozens at a midnight movie screening in Aurora, Colo., residents console one another. Meanwhile, authorities dismantle booby traps at the suspect’s home and search for evidence.

His visit to Aurora would come two days after the largest mass shooting in American history. Police said James Holmes, 24, entered a midnight premier of the new Batman movie and opened fire on the audience, leaving 58 wounded.

Should be a hop, skip and a jump from Denver International to Aurora (which is the closest city to the airport) on I-225 to Alameda, get off there and head east to the massacre site which is 2 minutes off the highway.

All in all, a 15 minute ride from the airport.

but according to crayola website the myth that breaking a crayon in half lasts twice as long, is false,

It is impossible to put into words just how bad this horrific event in Colorado is.
The families, the friends, and all of the relatives will be dealing with the loss of their close loved ones for the rest of their lives.
And the people who were injured in this horrible nightmare will be scarred for the rest of their lives as well.
It is incredibly hard to deal with such a terrible, terrible event as this, and the questions for some will never be answered.

it is only a matter of time until these isolated incidents become as common as a mexican border town news story but I do think the joker is still overshadowed by the Oklahoma city bomber incident.

Although Oklahoma pales in comparison to the twin towers but that has been classified as something all together different.

Hollywood keeps us desensitized to violence and of course, for those willing to look at REAL violence, the web has many many channels available that show the true 'spirit of man' around the world that make this joker look like robin when it comes to ghoulish deeds done dirt cheap.
