Sen. Elizabeth Warren has attacked President Donald Trump for months, and she's using his first major address to Congress as an opportunity to do so again.
Warren has taken aim at Trump's travel ban by inviting an Iraqi refugee to be her guest to Trump's address on Tuesday night.
The address will be similar to a State of the Union address typically given by presidents in January after at least one year in office. As with a State of the Union speech, lawmakers and a handful of other noteworthy figures from both parties can bring guests to accompany them during the speech.
Warren is hosting Tiba Faraj, an Iraqi-born refugee, who became a U.S. citizen last year. She's a student at UMass-Dartmouth in Warren's home state of Massachusetts. Faraj came to the U.S. with her family after her father was shot and disabled while working for an American-backed organization in 2006, according to Warren's office.
