Christie: Flynn needs to clear up Russia conversation details with Trump, Pence
Source: cnn
Washington (CNN)New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie criticized President Donald Trump's national security adviser Michael Flynn Sunday, saying he needs to clear up questions about whether he discussed sanctions in his pre-inauguration conversations with the Russian ambassador to the United States.
"I don't think that you can have any more than one president at a time," Christie told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."
"And, you know, General Flynn has said up to this point that he had not said anything like that to the Russian ambassador. I think now he's saying that he doesn't remember whether he did or not," Christie said, pointing to a discrepancy in what Flynn told Vice President Mike Pence previously and what he said after reports of those conversations emerged last week.
Franken: Flynn was 'lying' or 'forgot'
Flynn cannot rule out that he spoke to a Russian official about sanctions, an aide close to the national security adviser said Friday.
Flynn, the aide said, has "no recollection of discussing sanctions," but added that the national security adviser "couldn't be certain that the topic never came up."
So, that's a conversation he is going to need to have with the President and the vice president to clear that up, so that the White House can make sure that they are completely accurate about what went on," Christie said.
Christie did not call for the White House to take any specific action to reduce Flynn's role.

Hi Folks, Chris Here !
When you are down in the polls the way I am ,you must have ways to keep from falling out ,as in down and out. Now, I may be down at 18 % but I am still par the course . And my friend Donald tells me just so long as I don't fall below 9 % ,I'm in the swing of things. Below that and I suppose that means, I'm out.
Now when you are swinging from the down's ,one must have a good grab at that which presents opportunity .There are two things I am really really very biggly good at grabbing-, Doughnuts and headlines folks ,doughnuts and headlines. That's par for the course.
How bout it, am I in the swing !

(3,426 posts)Regards to the bubble he exists in ,here is an example,
OK, so Christie was totally clueless about UCMJ codes of conduct .Obesity is unacceptable in the United States military and there are weight restrictions regards to fitness to serve. In short the general was a piss poor example to say the least. But Christie's statement to the fact after the fact slammed him through the media ,when Christie said, I was unaware the generals weight issues rendered him unfit to serve. That is why that general refused to show up for his physical examinations on a number of occasions. But to Christie there was nothing in the world wrong with that. Leaders lead by example.
It's not about fat jokes, It's about his over stuffed ego and that bubble he exists within.

Just as interesting is what White House Senior Advisor Steven Miller said:
(From the CNN article)
Asked if he thought Flynn should be fired, Miller said:
"It's not for me to answer hypotheticals..It wouldn't be responsible..It's a sensitive matter," he told NBC's Chuck Todd on 'Meet the Press'. adding that .the White House "did not give me anything to say on the matter."
