A dossier making explosive but unverified allegations that the Russian government has been cultivating, supporting and assisting President-elect Donald Trump for years and gained compromising information about him has been circulating among elected officials, intelligence agents, and journalists for weeks.
The dossier, which is a collection of memos written over a period of months, includes specific, unverified and potentially unverifiable allegations of contact between Trump aides and Russian operatives, and graphic claims of sexual acts documented by the Russians. CNN reported Tuesday that a two-page synopsis of the report was given to President Barack Obama and Trump.
Now BuzzFeed News is publishing the full document so that Americans can make up their own minds about allegations about the president-elect that have circulated at the highest levels of the US government.
The document was prepared for political opponents of Trump by a person who is understood to be a former British intelligence agent. It is not just unconfirmed: It includes some clear errors. The report misspells the name of one company, Alpha Group, throughout. It is Alfa Group. The report says the settlement of Barvikha, outside Moscow, is reserved for the residences of the top leadership and their close associates. It is not reserved for anyone, and is also populated by the very wealthy.

(7,233 posts)Trump's Twitter feed is a sight at the moment. The man himself (and his minions) are understandably a little quiet.
Not so the commenters on his last Tweet, where it's party time: https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/818948254943604736
Somebody's dubbed it "Watersportsgate".
Any pundits talking about it are going to choose their words VERY carefully, and any Trump camp complaints about "a leak" are probably going to be drowned out by sniggers growing into guffaws.

(20,998 posts)...I believe tRump is OWNED, partially because of the Kremlin funding and, perhaps most important, the blackmail-able information Putin and the KGB probably have on him. I am thinking a classic KGB underage waif honey trap.

So, the questions grow louder: What did Trump know, and when did he know it? And will Trump acquiesce to Putin's demands knowing he could be exposed for impeachable activities?

UPDATE: Buzzfeed published a pdf (download) of the report, indicating, among other things, that Putin has been helping Trump for at least "five years." The report also notes that the "FSB has compromised TRUMP through his activities in Moscow sufficiently to be able to blackmail him."
Wow.
UPDATE 2: I'll just post this excerpt from the report and you can make of it what you will.

In yet another compelling twist from the bombshell Russian hacking story, CNN reported on Tuesday that hackers under orders from Vladimir Putin were also able to infiltrate Donald Trump's accounts. Further, the hackers have apparently retained "compromising personal and financial information" about the incoming president.
The news is both surprising, and not surprising at all.................
Worse, for Trump, is this:
..............................
The two-page synopsis also included allegations that there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government, according to two national security officials.
CNN reported that both Trump and outgoing President Obama were individually briefed on the news, with Trump's briefing coming last Friday, January 6 -- the same day that Trump tweeted the following in which he accused the DNC of "gross negligence" for allowing itself to be compromised by the Russians.
