McCrory campaign challenging votes in 52 NC counties

Source: ABC

With the North Carolina governor's race between incumbent Pat McCrory and challenger Roy Cooper just 5,000 votes apart, absentee and provisional ballots could decide the contest.

The McCrory campaign, which currently trails Cooper, has filed formal protests over absentee ballots in a dozen counties alleging a Democrat Party-funded political action committee "appears to have paid individuals to fill out and witness hundreds of fraudulent absentee ballots for Democrats."

Complaints are being filed in Wake, Durham, Bladen, Edgecombe, Franklin, Guilford, Halifax, Northampton, Nash, Robeson, Vance, and Warren counties.

Also Thursday, the McCrory campaign said protests are being filed to challenge "instances of votes being cast by dead people, felons or individuals who voted more than once."

...interesting he's not challenging absentee ballots in Catawba, Wilkes, Gaston and other right wing hotbeds. This is just a delay. McDumbass doesn't have a prayer.

Court order, challenges to vote totals complicate finalizing election results

Some heavily Democratic counties there - I swear I hope the GOP doesn't find some way to finagle him into winning. We SO need him out of here!!!

They keep him in the game for long enough, they can appoint two additional judges to the state supreme court (they lost that too) during an emergency hurricane disaster relief session they are planning for December. Bet on it.

No doubt a Democrat pulled McCrory's chair out from under him, too.

Like Drumpf in the weeks before the election was screeching "rigged".

Now McCrory.

We even see it here on DU!!!

If a candidate loses there will be delusional people who will claim that it was "rigged". But you won't hear Hillary Clinton saying that.

You said "delusional". Neither you nor I know all the facts. To call me delusional is to bully and attempt to silence me. I am simply asking for civil disagreement instead of insults.

They sound like the delusional Drumpf who has been blowing that trumpet for weeks!

So yes, saying Hillary lost because it was rigged or stolen is fucking delusional, just like when Drumpf said the same.

I will stand by my words.

Fortunately, NC has paper ballots and bipartisan review/counting by hand so there is no question final accurate totals can be achieved in a couple of weeks. NC election system is very organized and accountable thanks to previous Dem administrations.

But McCrory is trying to pull off a Bush v Gore scenario by making overblown accusations of disarray in order to get court to discredit entire precincts or send back to the Repub legislature if it drags on too long.
