Quetta Police Training Centre under attack

Armed attackers stormed the police training centre situated on Saryab Road in Quetta, in the wee hours of Monday.

The attackers have also taken police personnel hostage and are exchanging fire with the trainees inside the centre and security force officials outside the centre.

Sources said there are five attackers present inside the centre, adding that extra contingents of security forces have been called in.

Three injured trainees were shifted to the hospital while the situation in the area remained tense.

Gunmen attack police academy college in Quetta

QUETTA: a group of unknown gunmen stormed a police academy college in Quetta late Monday night, holding security personnel hostage, SAMAA reported.

A heavy exchange of fire is continued from both sides near the training academy on Sariab Road.

Heavy contingents of police and FC personnel were called in to control the situation.

According to reports reaching here, policemen staying in New Hostel of the academy have been taken hostage by the attackers.
