Nebraska Democrats are taking Republican U.S. Senate candidate Deb Fischer to task for signing an anti-tax pledge.
The state Democratic Party argued Monday that Fischer's refusal to consider raising any taxes meant that “tax breaks” for the wealthy would continue.
Aaron Trost, Fischer's campaign manager, said the Democrats' latest attack was proof that Democrat Bob Kerrey's campaign was having trouble gaining traction.
“It shows desperation that they're launching negative attack ads this early,” said Trost.
