Last week, Trump paid a $2,500 penalty to the Internal Revenue Service and refunded his foundation $25,000 from his personal wealth because the Sept. 17, 2013 contribution violated tax laws, the Washington Post reported.
The check came from the Donald J. Trump Foundation, a tax-exempt non-profit barred from contributing to political causes. The check went to And Justice For All, a committee that was the fundraising arm for Bondis reelection campaign and undeniably political in nature.
The donations legality stayed under the radar for years because of an accounting error at the Trump Organization, which reported to the IRS that it had given $25,000 to a Kansas anti-abortion group called Justice for All.
Its an unfortunate series of coincidences and errors, Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks told the Herald/Times in March.

Drip, drip, drip. This isn't going to go away for Bondi. She's not coated in Teflon like Trump.

(464 posts)when shit like this happens, what the response would be if it were a Democrat.
If it had been Hillary, or any other Democrat, shit would hit the fan.
Imagine if Hillary said 'fuck', even once?
But since it's Donny Dumbo or another Repuke it gets a free pass.

(38,414 posts)Why?...To keep others from answering questions about this..
So Marco Rubio does not have to lie to protect that senate seat..That senate seat is worth more than anything this Bondi person has to offer...Trump will try to lie himself out of this..it has already started in the OP..but that will not sail with the so called, "college educated women" and it will not sail with a larger number of independents.
.Bondi is gone, and Trump's lies will look uglier.. as he is questioned on this one event... over and over.. which I believe will happen..and this is much worse and easier to understand..than missing .."emails"...this is ..the word..bribe.....it will resonate..like Watergate....slow drip, drip, drip..as pointed out in OP.
.What is she going to do if she is charged with something????We have heard it all before..the picture of her with Trump at the gala party could be both of their downfalls...

There are so many scandals to choose from, we could have a scandal a day until November and still have some left over.

Some one should go over every foundation donation and expense of trumps "foundation" and see if more were "FRAUDS" and "ERRORS"

(101,268 posts)The donation went unnoticed by the IRS because of accounting fraud at the Donald J. Trump Foundation and Trump Organization, which lied to the IRS that it had given $25,000 to a Kansas anti-abortion group called Justice for All.
If it had been an 'error', the money would have gone to the Kansas group. They illegally paid Bondi like they meant to; and they hid it by using the Kansas name in their IRS return.
This is basic logic. This was an illegal payment, covered up by deliberate fraud. Someone needs to go to prison for this.

(101,268 posts)Last paragraph of the article - a quote from the treasurer of Bondi's PAC. When was that? Because if that was before he did pay the IRS the $25,000, then he was lying about that too.

(1,074 posts)This pay for play thing needs to be the catalyst to demand he release his tax returns or threaten there will be an investigation of his returns! After all, after this Bondi thing, we can say "who knows what else is in there and we need to know!"
