Justice won't prosecute Holder for contempt The Associated Press WASHINGTON — The Justice Department has declared that Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to withhold information about a bungled gun-tracking operation from Congress does not constitute a crime and he won't be prosecuted for contempt of Congress. In a letter to House Speaker John Boehner, the department says that it will not bring the congressional contempt citation against Holder to a federal grand jury and that it will take no other action to prosecute the attorney general. Deputy Attorney General James Cole says the decision is in line with long-standing Justice Department practice across administrations of both political parties. What a huge waste of time and I'm sure tax payer money. I can see the repubs doing this to waste money, thats their game, but some dems voted to hold Holder in contempt too. I believe the DNC should tell every democrat that voted for Holders contempt they will NOT be receiving funds from DNC for reelection.

Does this mean that this was all partisan political theater?????
I'm shocked I tell ya, just shocked. I love how the chuckleheads who keep telling me that government needs to run "like a business" are the ones who do the damnedest to screw up their job and cost this nation money. If the government WERE run like a business, Issa, Boehner, Cantor, and company would be on the chopping block for incompetence. |

17. Given that the charges are totally contrived this doesn't surprise me...
|
I have contacted 14 of the 17 Democrats that voted to hold Holder in contempt. In some cases my only option was to fake out an address within the district. In 4 cases I got staffers on the phone. They were pleasant 20-somethings.
In one case I told the staffer, look, we are at war. You can spout off all about "holding Bush" to the same standard, etc. all day long. They are the enemy and we must rally our troops. Either you and your Congresscritter are with us or you are against us. Plain and simple. No niceties. Make a decision so we all know. Your boss made his decision yesterday. He is now the enemy. But this is going to be interesting. Issa (the greasy lizard) holds Holder (more integrity in his little fingernail than Issa) in contempt. Justice must consider this charge. Justice says there is no basis for the charge. House now asks for an independent prosecutor. I don't recall if it is the President or Justice that makes that decision. This is all election-year theatrics. Issa's gonads have shrunk to the size or peanuts and he is trying to make a name for himself. Let's hope the summer heat exhausts his excitement. If nothing else the fact that Boner boy has all but excused the House from any further work until Selection day, that shouldn't be a problem. |

The MSMedia creates emotional stories that weakly attempt to attract viewers, it's also known as propaganda.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda --- Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position. Propaganda is usually repeated and dispersed over a wide variety of media in order to create the chosen result in audience attitudes. As opposed to impartially providing information, propaganda, in its most basic sense, presents information primarily to influence an audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus possibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or uses loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the attitude toward the subject in the target audience to further a political agenda. Propaganda can be used as a form of political warfare. --- |

at least have to pay any money back. They are just into draining the coffers totally and bankrupting the Country while their buddies stockpile funds to take over.
