Poll: Clinton Maintains Big Lead as Voters Doubt Trump's Temperament

Source: NBC News

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 9 points — 50 percent to 41 percent — in the latest NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll.

The numbers were virtually unchanged since last week's poll. Generally low favorability and negative attitudes among voters plague both candidates, however, as they make appeals to voters in key swing states in the weeks ahead.
A majority of voters continue to hold unfavorable impressions of both current nominees; Clinton's negative feelings were held by slightly less voters (59 percent) than Trump (64 percent). These results are according to the latest from the NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll conducted online from August 8 through August 14, 2016 among registered voters.

Clinton continues her lead over the field in a four-way general election match-up with 43 percent against Trump (37 percent), Libertarian Gary Johnson (11 percent) and Green party candidate Jill Stein (4 percent).

It would be based on an average of 5 specific traditional polls. CNN/ORC was one of them. pnwmom Aug 2016 #7

Again with this false statement. Also, this is "Survey monkey" which is not a real poll. So, in other words, NBC needed to put something up to generate clicks.

My guess is it's based on an average of all the polls. He'd need to hit 15%. Right now, he's at an average of 8.6. It'll take a lot of movement.

The nonpartisan commission, which determines the lineup for every U.S. presidential election, said the polls that will determine this year's lineup will be those conducted by ABC News-Washington Post, CBS News-New York Times, NBC News-Wall Street Journal, CNN-Opinion Research Corporation and Fox News.

If the last 12 hours of news coverage is to be believed. He gave a speech yesterday where he didn't use one racial slur and he spent a solid half a minute handing out useless supplies to flood victims.

As I said in another thread, the next several polls that are scheduled to come out are the more reputable and mainstream polls. Several right leaninh polls came out in a row, and none of them actually showed any significant movement.

Reuters is slightly right leaning now and has Hillary +8. This is one of the best rates polls, Hillary +9. I expect more than 1 to be double digits in the next few days.
